I think it’s funny how when the tuna was being cut, the people cutting it are so focused and precise while nick just chills commentating on the whole thing.

My gf treated me to a sushi dinner for my 30th birthday. But just not any sushi. She took me to Teruzusushi with Chef Taka. He came over to NYC for a mastercard special event and my gf booked it as a surprise birthday gift. The best part was, we were the only customers in that time slot. There were seating for 12 people. It was just me, her, Chef Taka, and his assistant/interpreter. We had one on one time with a master sushi chef. We took so many pictures of the food and with him because he kept insisting on it. It was an experience I will never forget for the rest of my life. And yes, we got the chopsticks as a souvenir.
Chef Taka is indeed a true master. Watching the whole process is mesmerizing and educative. The freshness of the tuna and the skill involved in preparing it are truly remarkable.
Lived in Japan for 15 years, caught plenty of tuna. Great video and so happy to see you being humble and respectful to your hosts. Great people, great culture...we could learn a lot from them.
This video was absolutely fascinating! The level of skill and precision shown by Chef Taka was mesmerizing, and the process of breaking down such a massive bluefin tuna was an art form in itself. The way you captured every step, from the vibrant cuts of tuna to the delicate sushi preparation, made it feel like I was right there in the kitchen. The ASMR moments were a fantastic touch, and the insights into Japanese culinary traditions were both informative and engaging. Truly a masterpiece of storytelling and craftsmanship-amazing job!
