Hope - do you remember the tactic I shared with you a few years back about the pics on these websites? If they have the head of the model cut off, it is almost always a rip off! This has helped me so much trying to navigate today’s online shopping madness. Much ❤ Hope and fam
@@ancairinadumitru3306 she liked the last comment I made and even commented back, I’m don’t think she pinned it though. That’s why I asked her if she remembered because she did see it. I don’t normally ask popular creators if they remember a comment from little old me.
@@pissum420 I am sure there are some exceptions or really good knock offs on occasion, but I think the reason the heads are chopped off are because it is only a replica and 99% of the time it is nowhere near what it should be. I think most of the time these websites that you almost always get from SOCIAL MEDIA are crap if they are not an established brand or a small time biz with the owner being the face or highly involved. I have not bought from any of these kinds of websites since I got burned by a Facebook clothing company, this was probably 2015-2016. Almost $100 and nothing was wearable of it did show up. I’ve been to Japan, it was obvious it was Asian sizing. I was not a skinny girl when I went to Japan, but I did try on a jacket that fit me around the chest and stomach but the arms were still too short and I’m only like 5’5”. I have no idea what the sizing charts are like on these websites because I know not to shop from them (I doubt they even offer my size) but some of these designs could have that as an issue too. The point is no heads on models should be taken as a red flag. It can’t hurt to be cautious. They’re hoping you’ll buy because it seems like it’s a good deal and only kinda sketchy 😂 this grift has been going on a good decade between FB/Insta, I feel like it should be a class action lawsuit lol. They should be vetting who they “sponsor” or whatever term they use for that platform.
Safiya Nygaard did a video tracking tiktok ads for the same dress. From her video investigation, yes, I think hope's statement about buying and re-selling is accurate. Personally I think it's just safer to stay far far away from social media ads unless its a big name brand. The risk isn't worth it.
I have a $10 dollar rule; if it's under $10 I'll get something, if it shows up and it's nice I might go back and make other purchases. I also have a specific online account that saves me from no shows.
That's so sweet of you to donate these dresses as a material haul for one of your viewers. It would be great if the person sent you "after" photos that you could share with us Hopefuls! 😊
I am no sewing expert, but I feel like these could be made into some super cool doll outfits for someone with the right skills... or maybe I still have the AG video on the brain. lol
You make waste if you start to destroy the dress, as i'm sure you won't be able to 100% use all the material, you can just send it to someone who fits their bodies. I'm sure those dressed will look different on every single different kind of bodies.
For anyone trying to figure out how to tell if the websites are fake, I work in fashion and these are somethings I noticed: 1. The pictures had visibile photoshop around the model to make them white background pictures, which is red flag 1. 2. The designs are stolen, for example, the black dress that was cutout and mesh is from the brand god save queens. So that's red flag 2. 3. In general the pictures with their heads cut off means the pictures were stolen and doctored 90% of the time. 4. Some of these brands even get the dress and shoot them on 1 model to make a cohesive looking website, so then you check the size guide. If you are normally an M and the size chart says you are an XL, that usually is because of China's obsession with thinness and their fashion industry has highly dysmorphic sample sizing and thats a red flag. 5. Finally if each dress's size guide changes and if one dress fits you in L and the other one in M and the third one in XL, red flag. There's much more about fabric beyond these but these are the best visible primary cues. Happy shopping! Dont support these websites they have slave labour and the same sellers and sometimes even warehouses as Temu, Shein, Urbanic, Romwe, AliExpres, DHGate etc.
I think the black skirt shown around 9:00 was sideways haha In the pics, there was little panel in the front and slits on the side and the rouching makes more sense on the sides then on the front and back It worked that way too though so i could be wrong!
This is why we thrift! I recently found a dress and got it for $1! (Special sale at the thrift place) I later searched up the brand and found out the dress was worth $300-$700! It also fits me perfectly and was completely worth it! (I also got a cardigan for $1 which was worth $100-$150)
All the thrift stores around my area are super expensive. Goodwill being the worst charity thrift store price wise almost as much or more than private resale shops.
Normally the thrift store I go to sells things for $7-$30 but they had a Christmas sale where every single thing was just $1, I saw a wedding dress there… for $1. It was incredibly busy there and I’m surprised I found the things I did! Most stuff was long gone.
I LOVE my thrift store too! I got a brand new cardigan (original price tag still on it for $89.50) for $1. They have dollar days and I've found brand new clothes there several times
This video is definitely informative for folks who don't know that a lot of these Instagram brands are curated drop shippers. Is the goal here to see if this is a real brand and what the quality is? Or is it to see if they drop ship? Would reverse image searching these items address the question of drop shipping? It's cool that Hope gives away the material, though I'd love to see more investigation prior purchasing rather than purchasing and then doing investigation. It'd be more eco friendly to only buy if there's no red flags. Reverse image searching can tell you pretty quickly if something is fake/going to be drop shipped.

These dresses must be made for someone Anorexic 😭...I do appreciate you purchasing and sharing your finds!! Im always looking for nice boutiques and really don't trust any online!! GREAT info!!! ❤
Loved the black set the skirt was on side ways and still looked cute! But I agree with the rest of your review. I am a seamstress and would love remaking the looks, but I'm sure I'm probably too late to request. Great reviews. I really appreciate your work!
9:14 I just realized that she wore the black skirt wrong, the rich is supposed to go on the side instead of the front which is prolly why it looks a bit wonky... 😅
I thoughttttt I recognized a couple of those dresses. I was scanning the For Love and Lemons new year sale section not too long ago. At least two of the designs on this seller's page (or maybe also the images) are stolen from FL&L
The black flowy 2 piece one you had the ruching in the middle and I think it was supposed to be worn on the side (from the photo at least) so try it on that way and see if it’s any better! Love you!
No shade to you at all, but thin women can pull off almost anything, so most of these pieces would look different on a smaller frame. I'm a size 10, so I know these dresses wouldn't look good on me either.

She wore two skirts wrong and it triggered my ocd like cmon, look at the picture 😭😭😭
The blue one would be cute over a bathing suit!!
Of course no pockets to carry all the audacity
in the black two piece dress, you're wearing the side portion of the skirt in the front, that's why it looks like that
You are BEAUTIFUL!!! I have no idea realistically who could wear ANY of these dresses, ok maybe the black one, but even watching this video, when you turned and walked away, it was see through 😳.
Absolutely loving your hair ❤❤
I thoughttttt I recognized a couple of those dresses. I was scanning the For Love and Lemons new year sale section not too long ago. At least two of the designs on this seller's page (or maybe also the images) are stolen from FL&L

Can you do something like this but with handbags from Pinterest? !!! ❤
9:17 maybe reverse the skirt by 90 degrees
Hope’s hair looks SOOO GOOD
9:54 help it’s giving mermaid halloween costume
The black flowy 2 piece one you had the ruching in the middle and I think it was supposed to be worn on the side (from the photo at least) so try it on that way and see if it’s any better! Love you!
3:26 no your not the issue! The dress is the issue!
LOVEEE YOUU HOPEE KEEP IT UP THIS VID IS 31 ON TRENDING VIDS!!!!!
I think you wore the black outfit wrong the skirt Rouge goes on the sides
Love this kind of videos, so funny!😂😂😂😂
Hope you’re wearing the skirt of that black two piece wrong 😭
I promise this was worth it because I laughed through the entire thing. At the very least, these enormous fails made an entertaining video.
If the person doesn’t show the face it’s a scam because it’s stolen pictures
I love how you trust the dresses enough to cover everything even if they dont
All those pictures have been stolen from an Australian company called outcast clothing 😂
keep doing these videos these are very fun to watch
1:51 seems suspicious when the models have their heads chopped off for the promotion shots, like why?
Ohh! Yes please i love the fabrics they're really cute and I have so many ideas!!
Only true Hopescope fans are aloud to like this comment ❤😊
Yeah!!!! Love you!
hopescope is my hype, girly girl, and over all the best youtuber
🙄🙄🙄
I love watching your videos, your always making me entertained! Thanks😊
No shade to you at all, but thin women can pull off almost anything, so most of these pieces would look different on a smaller frame. I'm a size 10, so I know these dresses wouldn't look good on me either.
A couple of them didn’t look good on the models either 😂
I just love the big puppy in the background!!!!❤🩷❤️🩷🥰🥰too cute!!!!
