Basics are not enough. Dogs have to learn when to associate. Basics commands are the start of much more. Some owners see commands as tricks. Commands got two goals. 1. Teach a dog when to do something and for a good bond but only when the owner is in charge. All the dogs in this video are not mental stimulated, got no respect because there is no bond, got owners who don’t understand the basic commands and don’t correct their dog because many think it is abuse…. Most owners stop by giving up when the dog is in puberty. Dear dog owners. You love your dog very much, but train your dog, guide them and get a good relationship is not about cuddles and giving them food. It takes 2-3 years. Depends on have much you train. Be the leader not only the feeder. Train a dog is not difficult. Push true, with some help and you can get there.❤

@dawndh7263 First, I'm pleased to hear of your success with your JRT. The 19 year old Jack in the video looks so healthy! A neighbor had to move and couldn't take her 7 year old Jack Russell Terrier, Scooby, with her. He had been living on her back porch because he wasn't potty trained and was also bit her a lot. Scooby became an indoor dog with me. The first time he bit me, I told him No, put him on his back, put a paw in my mouth and slowly closed just until he winced. No more biting. When he pooped or pee'd, day or night, I chained him to his dog house in the backyard (plenty of blankets and water) and left him alone for an hour or the rest of the night. After about a dozen times outside, he got the idea and became so good he would hold everything for 48 hours when he would refuse to walk in the rain (eventually, he would walk with his yellow slicker on, matching mine). Sadly, possibly because of living outside half his life, he is, at 14 quite old with arthritis, enlarged heart, collapsed trachea and 3 medications. He does try to hold his poo and pee, but some times isn't successful. We now *_have_* to take at least 2 daily walks. This is my third episode I've watched of this show, and I was about to drop it because it feels like he has no clue what he's doing. I just see red flags all over the place. So reading your comment made me feel good that my feelings were right.
I'm not an expert myself, but I have to pomeranians that have benefited a lot of positive reinforcement training and a lot of what I've learn is just the opposite of what this guy is teaching... I've been watching some of "It's me or the dog" with Victoria, and learned some tips and tricks from her, although I'm sure there are things to critize in that show too....
Are you watching the same show as me? All Graham's techniques centre around positive reinforcement. Think you have him mixed up with Cesar Milan or something.
