Bernie playing further from the table and playing slower spinny shots is such a breath of fresh air for Women's TT. All the dominant CNT women players play this fast close to the table game and it's so nice to see something different.
Not really. Most players nowadays play further from the table compared to the speed glue era. Of course it depends on the player and their style.

Well, tbh, it wasn't really great of her, but bad of chen meng. She got destroyed in two sets, one of them having been 9:0. She somehow just managed to intimidate chen meng.

Over the last year, I've had the impression CM is on the slide. Her wide forehand stretch and her fine movement when rapidly switching wings seem compromised. Maybe age? maybe the injuries have mounted up? Still, well played Szocs. I used to mock that backhand. Apologies, and lots of humble pie. The quarter-final against Hina Hayata will be very interesting.

首先恭喜斯佐科斯，赢一次属于侥幸，赢两次的确就是实力了，陈梦的大赛心态总是背着包袱，总觉得自己实力比对方强，想赢怕输，关键球头脑越发的不清晰（连发两个正手短球被对方预判到位极其错误），越尊重你的对手，你越能赢球，陈梦需要放低自己的姿态，一板一板的去拼，头脑冷静一些，你需要提高的已经不是技术本身，加油吧，时间不多了！

I understood Chen Meng just wanted the umpire to check and it was decided for Chen Meng to win on that point. However, the reaction of Bernadette made Chen Meng felt bad. She couldn’t concentrate on the games after that she even got the yellow card while winning. Technically, Chen Meng gave the match to Bernadette.
If I was Chen Meng I would sue the commentator. He said as if Chen Meng was the one who made decision. I don’t know if Chen Meng could hear it but what he did is really unprofessional. He should not be in the position.

For the last ball, it bended rather slowly to the right. There shouldn't be much of top spin. Maybe Chen Meng thought it was a weak under spin serve?

There's a vulnerability about Bernie that is palpable. This despite her fierce competitiveness!
Sport is a lot more fun with pretty girls! But the game being so close in points is very unlikely, I think Chen Meng (I like her exotic for me looks) let Szocs (I like her less than Chen but she looks okay) win, or was it the other way around? I'm new to ping pong but I think sports generally have a lot of cheating in it, here they wanted you to know by how close it was! I hope I'm wrong!
Chen meng needs to relax a bit! She needs to have some entertainment method in life! Either sprituality can help or get a boyfriend! She definitely is having some tensions other than tt, she is shy as well!

Agreed. Also being on the serve receiving end and CONSTANTLY delaying Bernies flow with just standing there and waiting despite being rdy at the table is dirty imo. But most chinese players do that in clutch situations.

@@nguyenthang4884 At that professional top level with that amount experience, thousands of played balls, the exceptional knowledge of the game mechanics/physics, trajectories, spin variations and from the angle she played the ball, the sound the ball made and how it fell of the table, it was definitely 100 % clear to her, that it was a side ball.

That shot in set 3 was obviously side not in. Dishonest Cheng meng. It was clear side. Very disappointing call by umpire
You said as if you were there. If you think the camera is right. Think again. To be exact, you must have the camera on different angles. Remember the ball just needs to touch the edge of the table to be in. Also the umpire was right on that side she must have better view than us and she was the only one who could make decision not Chen Meng. Chen Meng just wanted the umpire to check that’s it
I believe that Bernadette was dishonest when complaining about the ball since she was the one who could see the ball clearly. That’s the reason why she lost the next game when she was about to win. Dishonest could never go far. That is the law of life !😊
