    I was a child of the Shuttle era, simply fascinated me watching launches. I was nearly in tears when the last shuttle mission launched thinking nothing would be as epic.. and here SpaceX rolls out this modern marvel of space travel from the private sector.
    The employees of SpaceX should be very proud of what they are accomplishing and I hope the company treats them well.

    • @Hexagonian
      @Hexagonian 3 года назад +29

      I mean, I don't exactly think the employees are being treated that great, judging by how demanding Tesla was on its employees. But despite the inhumane hours that I suspect some of the top engineers are demanded to work for, i'm sure they are determined enough to get through them and have their names on one of the greatest human accomplishments in history.

    I would never, ever have believed that we - the human race - would be on our way to Mars in my lifetime even a decade ago. Having been born two years after Apollo and grown-up with the Space Shuttle, and then watching the total decline of human space flight in quiet despair, this is simply a dream coming true. So I don't care about any detractors or naysayers, I will forever be grateful for this and to Mr Elon Musk whose vision, passion and resourcefulness is at least trying to make this happen. Go SpaceX.

      Where is the nearest airport to SpaceX. Definitely thinking of travelling from the UK to see Starship.

    I am old enough to have witnessed the entire space program, the wonders of Mercury & Gemini, the awe of Apollo, the disappointment of Shuttle.
    SpaceX have rekindled my interest, the test flight of Falcon Heavy with the Tesla car sent to Mars, and the dual landing of both boosters was awesome.
    Starship is the most spectacular spacecraft I have ever seen, I wish the FAA had the same vision as Elon, his team and those of us who are rooting for that orbital launch.
