2:20 I saw earlier today that Calisto Protocol in their PS5 Pro Enhanced patch has added 8K support for the PS5 Pro including Ray-Tracing. So I think number of games that use additional power of PS5 Pro in different ways will continue to grow, even for exotic features like 8K support, which I agree is prohibitively expensive due to the display cost. I am fine to spend a lot on gaming, but for consoles & games. I am not going to shell out to get an 8K display. Not this decade.
The 8k output was supposed to be a feature that the original PS5 did…what happened to that?!
Hey great video!
Can you make a video when you show the first open world games for PS4.
👍
Hey
9:11 I'm laughing my ass off 🤣🤣🤣
The pro is literally doing what the base PS5 promised at launch
It’s not and never was
I've been playing silent hill 2 remake on the pro and am not having any issues on my end.
another clickbait
Nice try diddy
*engagement bait
And we all took it
Nice try diddy

Shoutout to Gameranx for giving credit to their information sources.
At number 10, cpu cores from 2019
If they went with modern AM5 AMD 3D-VCache performance would go through the roof. Especially since the PS5 is purely for games and no other workstation functions. But, I'm guessing that they'd have to completely rework the motherboard components and the price would be well over $1500.
Much like an actual PC, as long as there's no bottleneck, it's a lot cheaper to just slap in a new GPU. New CPU generations usually require you to replace everything and practically buy an entirely new computer sans the case, PSU, and storage.
The vast majority of games are GPU bound, thats why PC players upgrade GPUs, its where the most benefit is especially at high resolutions! The CPU in the standard PS5 already hits 120 fps in a lot of games now.
Someone sounds butthurt over the pros performance getting closer and closer to pc lol
Closer to PC from a 2019 CPU (3700x) and a 2020 GPU (RX 6800) in late 2024, sure.
@AssassinKID bench marks don't lie but whatever makes you feel better
As an always sunny fan I love that “Twoooo wars”. 😂
The fact that any game still runs 30fps in any mode on this thing is absurd.
Actually the PS5 Pro allows us to play a select few games with worse image than OG PS5. Well done Sony!
I’m convinced Sony is sponsoring most of the comment section.
Man that 8K argument...I know quite a lot of people but non have 8K tv's. It''s just a gimmick guys..A native output of 4k 60 fps is still a big objective for developers and Sony/Microsoft
Is it an upgrade? Yes.
Is it worth it? No.
The base ps5 has the option to turn VRR off in the menus, does the pro also have that option for PSSR? It might be a way to fix the issues with the non-enhanced games.
So it needs at $30 Stand , a $80 Disc Drive and a $800 VRR TV after after you buy a $700 Ps5 pro.
A common 4k/60hz TV will not cut it .
That not much...I got an 98 inch oled TV for $3999...So $700 isn't much for a PS5 pro
@@RishidookooRajpaul Really? a 65 inch Oled /120hz with VRR is $1200 Canadian
Thats $840 US Currency .
@Crashed131963 I did say 98 inch oled TV and not 65 inch right
@@RishidookooRajpaul Did not know there such a cost jump to go bigger?
Stupid me thinks if a 50 inch TV is $1000
than the 100 inch model is no more that $2000.
$3100 more to go from a 65 inch to a 98 inch is a lot of money for 30 inch more screen to me .
In my Country, the price for the disc drive exceeds the amount the store was willing to pay me for my base ps5.
Wow! Sticking with the base PS5?
@ Absolutely. Those greedy elements didn't even accept a straight swap despite my willingness to pay a separate 1,400 dollars for the ps5 pro.
My eye's suddenly opened and I discovered I had ventured into the realm of unprecedented stupidity.
Hidden feature: Lower the quality of games using PSSR 😂😂😂
When they release a disc drive bundle I'll buy it but I don't want to support the idea of a diskless console.
You get a free patch that will make your $70 AAA games run and look worse with every purchase!
Falcon needs to be the mainstay on GR
Another ps5 pro feature letting you know who’s financially struggling 😂
People don't get some of us are OG gamers and have accumulated some wealth so buying something like this doesn't even register.
I think you’re missing the point that the PS5 is a poor value for the price - not that people can’t buy it.
I’d bet the vast majority of buyers use credit to buy it. The numbers bare this out. People can barely afford rent and food these days. So these comments crack me up.
yeah but the top 10% have way WAY more money than ever. The poor get poorer, that's not new 😢
@thegodfatherse7enran how's it poor value for the price? It would work out to cents per hour.
Gaming is one of the most cost effective hobbies there is.
From reading these comments, I can tell that a lot of you guys are hard-core gamers and I think that’s awesome. I am not. I didn’t touch a video game console from like 2007 until 2020 when I decided to buy myself a PS4 during the pandemic. It was great to get back into gaming again and I was pretty amazed at how far they’d come with graphics and gameplay, but now I’m at a point where I’ve played everything I’ve wanted to play and some three or four times over and I’m just wondering, where are all the new good games? I figured I would wait to buy a PS five until they’d released a good amount of games but I’m shocked at this point there still seems to be no reason to. What’s going on? Why aren’t they taking advantage of the new technology and creating that next new game that everyone is salivating over? Are those days gone?
Hidden feature: some games genuinely look worse on the PS5 Pro than the regular PS5.
Smh
You’re reaching because you don’t have one lol, that’s just bullshit to try to make yourself feel better about being poor
@@brookejames3781Falcon literally mentions this in the video, dummy.
@@brookejames3781the guy in the video said it. But it’s likely because it wasn’t made for it and maybe will get an update
@@brookejames3781 eh he’s kinda not wrong lol I have a pro and SH 2, Jedi survivor performance is worse its gonna get fixed but he’s not coping it’s actually crazy
Didn't know the SH2r was worse, O swapped over to the peo and played for several hours yesterday. I noticed it was much smoother and the textures were about the same. Maybe they already fixed it, idk, but it runs much better than it did for me.
Almost twice the price of a standard ps5 what a joke nobody should buy this crap
In a nutshell; Ps5 pro fails to deliver.
I want an Xbox Series X Pro
You mean a pc?
It won't be made :(
Me as well
@@ActNasty5 No, I want an Xbox for my TV
The series x is the pro. That's been obvious since 2019
Around a year ago, I spent 200 dollars on a 2 TB stick to upgrade the hard drive on my ps5. So 700 is not that bad when you get 2 TB and advanced gaming. If I didn't already upgrade the hard river I would totally get a Pro.
Why all the hate?
First!
Damn you, congrats haha
I put sh2 on fidelity on my pro and slowed down the stick sensitivity and turned off the motion blur and the frames are definitely higher that the regular ps5 and reflections look PC quality.
No man's sky now also supports 8K 30 fps.
Btw voud warranty stickers are Illigal in the USA, so they mean nothing.
Was interested to see u on the jury fr goty, good luck picking
I’ve had the ps5 pro for 2 weeks, I can’t seem to find the ‘game boost’ feature.. lol!!
Quite enjoying mine. Makes Jedi Survivor and Alan Wake II run much nicer. I wish they made it more obvious that Alan Wake II has been updated. When choosing performance modes they don’t even mention ray tracing. Quite enjoying my Pro so far, but definitely not necessary.
I could have sworn digital foundry said that no man's sky actually has an 8K 30 FPS mode. Not that that means anything to me at all lol I was happy enough to finally just get a nice big 4K OLED. Maybe in another 10 years if AK actually catches on I'll take a look at that but sure as hell don't feel like I need it anytime soon. I'll say this though, I've had a couple of like 50 to 55 in starter 4K TVs. Which we're a big upgrade from a 1080p screen, but man I understand now when they say that the HDR function on those TVs is pretty much fake. There is a massive difference having a real LG OLED with proper HDR. Just the display itself already seems like you have a graphical increase in your games
3:30 that insane pop xD
I dont care about updated graphics in these games. Im just so happy that i get to play on quality mode with 60fps, and not 30.
A link to the website showing the full list of games from point 10 in the description would have been nice Falcon 🦅
I’ve discovered that it’s not worth it at all, and there are very few reasons to own an Xbox. Guess I’ll stick with this PS5 for a while and hope they start making good games again.
I wanted to get a pro, but most of my games are physical and its insane that they want us to spend another $80 for a disc drive that should come with the system.
I understand buying the Pro if you don't have a PS5.. but to "upgrade" to the Pro is such a waste of money for incremental improvements.
Sticking with the standard PS5 until the next generation release?
@@gameranxTV It depends if they have any game changing features. I might not buy the next gen if they release all of their exclusive games on PC and nothing has improved on PS6 except for the performance.
Hey Gameranx, No Man's sky also supports 8K/30fps ;)
Thanks for pointing that out!
