What he does not take into account is the birth rate difference between the race groups. I have no doubt that the number of children per family is FAR greater for blacks than whites. This is a major factor in the difference in wealth between whites and blacks. Many blacks regard children as a sign of manhood and a pension plan. Not so with the white population - family size has been steadily DECREASING.
I had this conversation with a friend a few days ago. It's all about the numbers. Julius Malema recently told a crowd at a rally to make babies. Doesn't matter if they already have children, and regardless if they're rich or poor, they should make more, he said. And that favours radical movements like MKP and EFF because most of the babies will become disgruntled voters in the future. We simply can't keep up with the increasing economic and infrastructure development demands, even if we had a well-run economy. It takes time for economic output to adjust to increased demand, but we're not even operating at capacity - that's how bad things are. Perhaps a major family planning awareness campaign - similar to the HIV/AIDS campaign in the 90s - could improve things a bit.

Wrong diagnostic. Unemployment and inequality is caused by leaders who lack vision. We need to change our behaviours…and it starts with me and you. And then we are more likely to vote for people with those same values. And reading more and engaging more with the likes of Dr P Lehlola. Thank you Newzroom Afrika
Bro, this doesn't need anyone to be an economist to see and undestand, since it has been done over and over again in many parts of the world by different communities. Third Reich recognised the same about migrant Jewish community.
Those who fail to plan, plan to fail !!!!
Too informative, thank you Dr
We need Dr lehohla in our podcasts, cause their he'll have more time to teach us..........
Iman - first of all, excellent and world-class journalism. Thank you. Secondly, please invite Dr Lehohla back but with slides that are more accessible to the common man, especially for such an important discussion.
Maybe he could be joined by another expert from an institute that could help break the data down or give a supporting perspective?
Brilliant!!! Excellent content, well do!
This is what the other parties like the DA and FF+ have been saying. Get rid of the BEE rules and nonsense rules that hampering the economy. Make it easy to start a business and get rid of all this race base polictics and rules. Imagine if businesses could be started and opened in a 1 week, instead 3 months.
Our mining industry is seriously hampered by BEE and threats of EWC.
Seriously , who wants to invest billions into a mine which will take decades to recoup if there is a possibility of EWC ?
Spitting fire 🔥 wow, it’s the same theme for blacks, “let us unite”, it’s coming up again and again.
Is just a dream
Great job sir
