Steph Curry's success has added a lot of value to Reggie Miller's career. The Pacers always had a pedestrian roster, but somehow kept winning 50-60 games each year (and even making it to the Finals). It was kind of peculiar how they won so much. Now that we're seeing how much impact a long-range off-the-ball shooter has on 5-on-5 basketball, Miller's/Pacers success makes more sense.

He set the stage for the 3 point games you see today!! Some of my favorite memories as a kid in the 90s was watching the Big playoff games with the Eastern Conference. So many Big Battles to claw up to the number 1 spot in the East and Millers Pacers was the only team in history to push Jordans Bulls to a game 7 in the playoffs.

I was a huge Pacers fans in the 90s and it was a shame Reggie never got his ring. Just stuff lined up against him. The Malice in the Palace upset me to the point I mostly stopped watching the NBA after it happened. The Pacers finally had the team and the decks cleared and due to piss-poor security and general thuggery by Detroit fans and players, the season was ruined. Going into the stands as a player isn't acceptable, but the punishment was over the top and no way any big market team would have been gutted for that reaction.
Indiana was definitely cheated out of a championship!! If that basketball brawl had happened to the Lakers, David Stern NEVER would have handled out such harsh sentences!!
Reggie ended up playing on the 1996 U.S. Olympic basketball squad in Atlanta and he played very well. He ended up with a gold medal. Not an NBA championship, but still a major success.
We'll never know unless Klay leads his own team. But Klay does everything Reggie did and plays defense. But Reggie had the pressure of being the main guy, and had the pressure of hitting the big shots. Klay dosen't have that.

Always found it funny people rating Ray Allen higher. Ray Allen can’t accomplish the third of what Miller did if he was the main franchise player and not number 2 or number 3 option.
He was Curry, before Curry, one of the best shooters/ 3 point shooters of all time! A legend, brought excitement, success and smiles to Indiana. Although he never won a Championship he got them to the NBA Finals so in my opinion that's amazing, and some teams having even been to the NBA Finals! 💪🙏😎👏

Never under estimate sibling rivalry. When the game was on the line Reggie was always motivated by all the times his sister destroyed his ass growing up.
reggie moved without the ball like nobody i ever saw. steph is kinda like that, but reggie was the OG of non-stop off ball movement. and he was insanely clutch. that game against my knicks when he scored those points in the last few seconds - i fucking HATED him!

I was a huge Pacers fans in the 90s and it was a shame Reggie never got his ring. Just stuff lined up against him. The Malice in the Palace upset me to the point I mostly stopped watching the NBA after it happened. The Pacers finally had the team and the decks cleared and due to piss-poor security and general thuggery by Detroit fans and players, the season was ruined. Going into the stands as a player isn't acceptable, but the punishment was over the top and no way any big market team would have been gutted for that reaction.
Indiana was definitely cheated out of a championship!! If that basketball brawl had happened to the Lakers, David Stern NEVER would have handled out such harsh sentences!!
I would put him in a 1992 Dream Team instead of Leattner. But,that was a rule back then.
Reggie ended up playing on the 1996 U.S. Olympic basketball squad in Atlanta and he played very well. He ended up with a gold medal. Not an NBA championship, but still a major success.

I had to watch Reggie at UCLA beat my home town college team every year and he really was, like Magic says, just stone cold from the start of his career: always wanted to make the clutch play. We HATED him as fans of not-UCLA but an amazing player and a great person.
