BYD Seal 06 GT looks promising for the EU market - a sleek hatchback is always welcome here. But I really wish that they'll make, in the future, an even smaller version. Shorter, and more importantly, narrower. Road and parking here are not like in China, and we enjoy, out of pure necessity, small cars. The by defintion C segment car here, the VW Golf, in the 1980s was 4m in length and 1,67m in width. And our infrastructure hasn't changed since then, so current cars are often too huge to be used practically.
@@deanstyles2567 the Euro version of the BYD Dolphin is 4,29m in length per 1,77m in width, and then much more reasonable for the EU market, but unfortunately it's not as cool as the Seal 06 GT 😉
I hope BYD will enter the Czech and Slovak markets in the near future. However, you could say that given that BYD intends to open up a factory in Hungary, it could only be a matter of time before BYD launches to all Central Eastern European countries.
@@zackh7450 Yes; 17% plus the default 10%. But with the new Hungary plant that’s due to have its first cars roll off the production line in 2025, this will get around these tariffs. Chinese-built ICE cars and PHEVs are not affected by the new tariffs.
It’s nice to see them make a hatch version of the Seal, seems like it lost some rear seat room, would have been nice if they would have gave it a bit more length for the cargo area. That Song L hatch looks like the Polestar 4 from the side, nice. Can’t wait for the review and drive of that one.
if the price of the gt seal is as you say 150,000 rmb that would be pretty insane if it retains a similar - or very likely slightly more expensive pricing - in my country.
Seems very refined from the inside. The simpler the better but they need to do more in terms of exterior seems very sharp and angly unlike german cars like audi which are very simple and look better. But BYD is getting better Plugin hybrids and more simplified that's better
I have requested your company to provide me with the price for selected cars through your email even though I requested before a week haven’t got a reply till today from you sales office
All the byd interiors are TOO MUCH, to the point that I won't buy one until they get rid of the flensed whale aesthetic. The best thing I've heard here in Australia from byd owners is that if you get the black interior, then they aren't quite as bad, not quite as bad as nowhere good enought.
BYD is a stupid and meaningless name with ZERO brand recognition. Sales outside China are pathetic - worries about after sales service (few locations) and no brand recognition, yet with prices comparable to proper legacy car makers the buyers decision is an easy one.
That BYD is still too much in the interior.. specially the steering wheel and center console. If get rid of all that black and that grey plasticky cheap looking material. And id blend in the console buttons with the rest of the console. Clean, minimal.
So the seal sedan never challenged the model 3 and now has the xpeng Mona m03 to compete against in the cheap Chinese sedan ev market. Let's see if the 06 gt can challenge the id.3&mg4 outside of China? My bet is no it won't and it will cost 50-65% more outside of china=doa. Inside of China it'll do decently due to local brand loyalty. 🤔
@@cocoaiscool2709I see exactly zero Dolphins and Seagulls in the Netherlands and Germany. I'm thinking plenty of people here realize how BYD is building it's cars, and who's pocket you'll be lining be buying them.
forget Geneva, Munich shows... now is Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu

What about the Dolphin?
Good insight, I’m Chinese and would never have thought of it this way. Truly important point if they want to sell.

@@CATinBOOTS81how about the BYD Seagull
@@gadgetgasspoll2923 Seagull is great, I think that with a good price it can become quite popular here and be a strong rival for the Fiat 500e.
BYD launches a new model every week!!!
Excellent coverage! Really looking forward to seeing all 3 options in Australia at some point!

I really like the look of the BYD Song L both inside and out!
I will buy song dmi plus in next month
The colour of the GT is amazing!
its colour remind me of my Oppo
Seal 06 GT looks awesome and I believe it will be available in the UK so that might be my next car. Hmm

I do like how BYD wheels are actually nice and not covered with plastic. On some of them anyway.
Yes, song L review please! ❤
BYD Brand will be dominating the UK and EU Market for years to come...cant wait to see the BYD Xia MPV in the UK plus so much cheaper than VW
Great update! Hope see it in Australia
I’m from the UK and think the GT looks decent, cupra born level , hopefully it comes out soon but doubt it

Guys, Wheelsboy is the top non-Chinese expert on Chinese EVs-maybe in the whole universe!
They showcased Sealion 7 ev in Nepal auto show.
Finally BYD has its own minivan excluding Denza. Its sad the front logo is not the Xia character as would be expected for Dynasty family vehicles.
i hope byd would bring this seal 06 gt to indonesia ❤
wished the Seal GT used frameless windows like the Song EV...
I wish I was as stylish as Ethan
Ethan, mission abort
Beautiful interior 🙌🏿
Nice Seal GT
Looks quite good 😊👍 but for me out of Chinese EVs NIO ET5 Touring just love it ❤❤❤
Really like the GT.... The Song L is a very sexy car
Thanks Mate
i was your 1000th like on this video!
Do you know if Song L (hope for a different name) will be available in Europe next year as well as the 06?
Wow amazing ❤

Is someone have a review of Hyptec SSR car ? I thought they start delivery age ago ?
The Song L looks more masculine than the Seal 06 GT.

That xia mpv design is not gonna sell well, the grille and the tail is looks outdatef nissan van, the seal is looks like chev and kia ev6
Do you have a C10 review?
I’ve driven a BYD Dolphin , and its handling and driving dynamics are very poor.

Hope to see them in India

500 to 600 km is too optimistic. The real range will be much lower.
Yes, withdraw about maybe 17-18% from CLTC, then it's close to the WLTP
