This song came out when I was in kindergarten in Georgetown, TX. George Strait is the embodiment of everything that was innocent and pure about America, a real life gentleman. He somehow was able to keep all his music PG and wholesome without being corny or lame. I can't think of any other country artist able to deliver solid gold over and over without ever straying from his formula or his values.

George Strait is difficult to listen to; My late husband got us concert tickets for our anniversary; the night before the concert we got into a big argument. I was a 25 yo, and I had a problem with bringing up the past when we would argue (we were HS sweethearts). I ultimately refused to go to the concert. Neither of us went. The next day we made up and he told me that he saved up for floor seats to that show! 😭 My husband unexpectedly passed away shortly after that, leaving behind our beautiful children and many broken hearts. I would've had that beautiful memory of the concert to hold onto had I not been petty! Please make up with your loved ones, say you're sorry more often, even if you feel like you're right, say it anyway. Tell them how you feel, how much you appreciate them, how hard they work, how much they love you even when you may not deserve it LoL Tell them how gorgeous/handsome they are, especially on days they look tired, when they need it the most. I don't think there was a day where this song wasn't playing on the Country KCY radio station in 1995 when I was kid. Good times. Also heard it the other day playing in on the radio when I was at my local movie theater. Great to know people still have taste in Country music when it was still solid.

This song reminds of my daughter when she was in middle school, a boy who she was friends with came up to her after school and asked if they were friends. She said yes of course we are. She was confused on why he asked as there hadn't been any problems. She found out later on that night he and his mother were killed in a car accident on there way home from school. It really freaked her out, all she could take from it was at least he knew he had a friend and it was important to him.

George Strait is difficult to listen to; My late husband got us concert tickets for our anniversary; the night before the concert we got into a big argument. I was a 25 yo, and I had a problem with bringing up the past when we would argue (we were HS sweethearts).
I ultimately refused to go to the concert. Neither of us went.
The next day we made up and he told me that he saved up for floor seats to that show! 😭
My husband unexpectedly passed away shortly after that, leaving behind our beautiful children and many broken hearts.
I would've had that beautiful memory of the concert to hold onto had I not been petty!
Please make up with your loved ones, say you're sorry more often, even if you feel like you're right, say it anyway. Tell them how you feel, how much you appreciate them, how hard they work, how much they love you even when you may not deserve it LoL
Tell them how gorgeous/handsome they are, especially on days they look tired, when they need it the most. Cuddle them as much as possible, They may not be there tomorrow =(

We did get Allman Brothers & Lynyrd Skynyrd in 70s. Buffalo isn't a popular City because of all the snow we get. Its true we get 10 feet every winter from Lake Erie.

This song reminds of my daughter when she was in middle school, a boy who she was friends with came up to her after school and asked if they were friends. She said yes of course we are. She was confused on why he asked as there hadn't been any problems. She found out later on that night he and his mother were killed in a car accident on there way home from school. It really freaked her out, all she could take from it was at least he knew he had a friend and it was important to him.
