I was in Hong Kong many years ago. I could never get enough of the most delicious Chinese food!! I speaks Cantonese and grew up Chinese, living in Canada. We have a large Chinatown in Toronto. Dim Sum is my all-time favourite.
I was 6 when I visited Hong Kong...in 1968. I can still remember the taste of the wontons noodles soup near our hotel. In fact, I ate that soup for the whole week for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Best childhood memories in Hong Kong...

my dad was born from HK before he immigrated here to Canada and ran a Chinese takeout! My parents will be planning to take me there for vacation sometimes too! Excited to see and to witness the culture and am sure the food is much more richer and authentic than the asian cuisine in North America. It will be my first time too to step out of the Canadian soil!

As a HKer, I can say that actually one of the restaurants in the video is only for tourists, not for the local people, but the Chairman should be one of the best restaurants in HK. The pork used for the FINEST Char Siu in HK is usually from Japan, which means the price is higher, almost twice the normal price, it is only served in "serious" restaurants.

But seeing chefs drown seafoods in oil simply over complicated the natural flavours of seafood makes me appreciate the simple preparation of seafood at home in a Vietnamese cuisine..
