@@themarketgardenerthat is old news. Just some days ago Samsung unveiled 3GB VRAM. The rumours can still be wrong because of how much Nvidia likes to cut corners on VRAM. Not that i care since i will be leaving RTX cards behind to move over to AMD after buying purely Nvidia for so many years. Nvidia already pissed me off with their features which cant even be handled by any GPU to uphold 144Hz on 1440p and it is always „buy more to play on that resolution“ or buy more for this feature and that.
@@0-B1 everything is possible and it depends on how much Nvidia want to give their customers or rather how much they want to cut corners to starve the „GPU‘s“ to force update on customers from generation to generation.
There is a possibility for the 5070 to be an 18 gb according to Moores law is dead, how ever it is likely to be in 12-16 gb versions also, while the 5080 can have a 16 and 24gb variant.
If the 5080 has 16 gigs of VRAM, I might even just stick with my 4080 SUPER. I'd expect Nvidia to ship 5080s with 24 gigs, which is super disappointing. Maybe the 5080 SUPER or Ti might have 24 gigs.
@sahzus Yeah, exactly, lol. I really don't know why Nvidia would pull another 4080 move and deliver a card barely worth the price tag. Like yeah, sure, the upgraded GDDR7 VRAM is surely going to be a nice upgrade, but it isn't substantial enough in my opinion to validate a worthy upgrade over a 4080 SUPER. There is even speculation about the 5080 being more expensive, which is absolutely insane. Who knows, maybe Nvidia will take the 5080 off the market later down the line and replace it with the 5080 SUPER like what they did with the 4080.
@@Noxatik it’s the same thing with Apple, they do this shit cause they know a lot of people are gonna buy regardless. Watch, they’re gonna sell out like folk’s lives depend on it and it’ll be months before an average consumer can even get one and then they’ll drop a super variant or TI and rinse repeat, just like the 4080 lol. These prices are my biggest concern though, a 5090 being the same price as a used Honda 02’ feels gross.🤡
16GB for a 5080 now is a joke. Unfortunately with AMD going mid range they're creating scarcity in high range making it so Nvidia has complete control of the high end market. That being said, with the XTX having 24GB of VRAM you'd be somewhat future proof for likely 2 generations (or 6-8 years). I think what AMD is doing is they're appealing to mid range to gain hold of that market because the more people who have their GPU, the more their name gets out and, if it's good, they become trusted. Then they can begin putting out higher end cards with market share and trust. As for Nvidia right now, they're just going to be able to do whatever they want while giving us the middle finger because who else are you going to buy from? Want a high end? Fork over $1300 for your 16GB of VRAM and we'll see you next generation when your VRAM is hitting 95% and your games are stuttering. I think there needs to be more knowledge of how they make these cards and how they classify them. People need to understand that if your card runs 4k native, who cares about DLSS? Also, every card performs rasterization which AMD cards are better at doing so why not go with a card that gives you better rasterization, higher VRAM (4GB more than the highest 80 series, & $200 cheaper), and better framerate.
AMD is making a really smart move though. Mid and low end is the biggest market. Not many people have, want, or need a 4080 let alone 4090. A majority of steam users have a 3060 and when consumers want an upgrade they will likely get an AMD gpu
@@jozopako i have always had amd, currently on the gre. want to see for myself why nvidia is " Better ". if it's not that great, just sell and tryout amd next gen

Lol this guy 9000series will be midrange after that will have higher tier after this gen
They don’t have 3 GB GDDR7 modules so 16 GB is very believable and annoying. They’ll have those modules around February.

Surely the 5080 will be 24g. The differences with the cuda cores is ridiculous between the 5080/90. But so is the price ranges.
5080 should have 24GB VRAM, 5070 at 16GB, 5060 at 12GB
Or they will charge more for the 24gb model like with the 4060ti 8-16
