I've been going to festivals since I was 3 years old and key tips I learned 1. Freeze as many water bottles as you can fit in the cooler 2. Pack no-cook snacks for when you're lazy and 1 min rice or pre-cooked and you can make stor fry over a campfire kinda rocks Hummus long green onions and pre sliced carrots or sandwich things all in sealed glass containers and zip locked so ice water doesn't get to it 3. Hand mirrors and folding mirrors are life also do all makeup In a tent with a battery powered makeup light/mirror then setting spray so it's not sticky NO STICKY MAKEUP it will get dusty use makeup wipes at the end of the day then water with a microfiber makeup removal cloth it helps a lot 4. A light oversized layer covering you shoulders and a sun umbrella meant for sun can keep you sunburn free (just decorate it if you want) and don't forget sunscreen all over multiple times a day if you can't shower bring and extra gallon or two of water and just use a rag at the end of the day to get all that grime off also always make your bed in your tent when you wake up so you can fall into it at night and sleep peacefully x.x

I went to Coachella three years in a row back in ‘04, ‘05, and ‘06. 2006 was the last year before it blew up into the mega over-hyped, over-commercialized monster it is today. Before 2006, there weren’t restaurants and showers, and bars. You had a Heineken tent, and some crappy burgers and pizza. It was basically fairground food, and that’s all you needed because you were racing to get to the next stage to see a performance. There was no time to sit down for paella (🙄). And thank god there was no such thing as an iNfLuEnCeR back then, because the festival wasn’t filled with assholes only there to take pictures of themselves.

Ive been to a few camping festivals & never properly camped at any bc it gets gross, fast! 😂 This was the closest I got. We rented an RV & parked at this camp site that had indoor plumbing & actual showers. But we had to rent a car to get the RV rental & to get to the shuttle bus everyday. That was forever ago. But it was miserable. Also expensive & too hot esp for GA tix bc there was only a few places you could hide from the sun all day. Like she said, the key is scoping out the “secret” places to get hydrated (we saved alcohol for post-sunset to avoid passing out) & to bathroom. Have never been back.

Yeeeeeeeeesssss thank you ffs I am so glad someone is coming out about this crap I'm a stagehand and lemme tell you. Our shitters, our showers, and sometimes, if live Nation wants to be nice, we get nice bathrooms, right? But Jesus christ, when the vendors and no offense to yall but bro waffle stompers only show up with yall, I don't get it. Everyone wants to enjoy a damn good experience, but with what they provide, and the lack of respect generally, most people have doesn't help. If they'd clean the showers more and people would stop being gross. Then maybe we could enjoy a good time, but to even get in is stupid retarded money wise. I love seeing people have their best moment of their lives with something I built. It's corny, but it really is special. But I do feel yall are being practically extorted😭. Much love🏴‍☠️💯

Why all the hate for people that go to Coachella? Nobody said you have to go. The food is so expensive because of the exorbitant cost to be a vendor there. Yes, some people are mean but you will also meet some wonderful people. Yes, it takes a toll on you but it is an experience you will never forget. I don’t understand at all the comments about only hipsters and rich kids going to the festival. While some of that may be true, a lot of people go for the music, environment, experience and to just have a good time. You can hate it but nobody said you have to go.
