@ it was very rushed in general (season 2). The only way they could make Jinx go into a spiral of depression was make someone close to her die. It couldn’t be Vi so what better option than to create a new character and kill them off few eps later. :/
Maddie always came across to me as a psychopath, but not a very capable one, somebody who has genuine feelings, however they always fall victim to their mental condition - “do not do as I wish and suffer the consequences”. Maddie thought _she_ was the manipulator but got manipulated, she thought _she_ outsmart people but got outsmarted herself at every turn, and so on. Could have things worked out different? Maybe, if Cait would have actually fallen in love with her and done everything for her … which was never going to happen, but, again, Maddie was not very clever. One could feel sorry for her, if she just wasn't such a little p.o.s.
Maddie simply didn`t want to die with the rest of them in an unwinnable fight against Ambessas forces for someone who doesn`t give a s**t about her anymore.
Umm.... can someone explain what Caitlyn meant when she said "you didn't let me on that part of your plan?" Like I know she is talking about Jinx here, but like how exactly did Vi plan to have Vander escape?
@@wasupp_pal well, Caitlyn did try to wake Vander up but it didn't seem to work lol Vi couldn't tell Cait Jinx was involved because she didn't trust Cait would help her with Jinx being a part of the plan. Jinx was a backup plan in case Caitlyn didn't follow it.
A “contingency” plan is a safeguard against the risk of something unexpected causing a main strategy to fail. Caitlyn thinks Vi stationed Jinx there to defend Vander just in case Caitlyn would not follow through on executing the plan. Which would imply that Vi did not trust Caitlyn to follow through and thought there was a risk of her not doing what they’d agreed on. In reality Vi didn’t tell Jinx to do anything but Caitlyn doesn’t know that and assumes Vi knew Jinx would be armed protecting Vander but chose not to tell Caitlyn that.
@@Chillingqueen3 well she didn’t have time to return to the compound and talk to Jinx before Caitlyn brought her in to Ambessa, and she didn’t know that the Noxians were there to get Vander until Caitlyn told her. So I don’t think she meant to line Jinx up as part of the plan, beyond just knowing Jinx was there. I think Vi took the accusation more generally as Caitlyn saying Vi didn’t trust her to tell her Jinx would be there and lashed out over Caitlyn implying Vi owed her trust
Vi told Cait she was trying to save her dad (a.k.a. Vander), but didn’t tell her that Jinx was there, too. Cait didn’t know Jinx was Vi’s hidden back-up plan in case something unexpcetedly happened, because at that point of time, Cait was still teaming up with Ambessa.
I honestly think Vi was being unreasonable here. Even if Jinx supposedly changed, she was still a criminal and had to pay for her crimes. She shouldn’t be surprised that she was arrested.
She was arrested herself all throughout her teen hood she knows first hand of that experience. You think after her sister relationship was slowly healing she was going to let that happen? Why you think Caith made the guards in prison go away. She done putting blood on her and vi hands
@@brandr7964 I understand her emotions behind her objections, but she's still choosing to forget her crimes just for a chance of having her family back when that ship has already sailed. Plus, her arrest was much more justified than Vi's.
Putting Jinx in prison for the rest of her life after she's shown she's not actually a bad person doesn't help anyone, it just causes more pain. She needed help, not punishment.
I understand why maggie betrayed cait. The girl felt used and actually she was. She was a collateral damage to the break up of caitvi, she understood what happened in the moment vi entered the room, and obviously got mad.
It’s pretty heavily implied that Maddie was working with noxus from the beginning, she was the first enforcer to start the noxian salute of Cait being a dictator, ambessa talks about taking advantage of caits vulnerability the scene after we see her with Maddie, Maddie is here listening in to the conversation, and in the final episode it doesn’t look like a spur of the moment thing, it looks like the noxians expected her to aid them
No, she stood with Ambessa since the first moment, and also genuinely supported Cait, but when Cait betrayed Ambessa Maddie chose Ambessa over her. Her loyalty is for Noxus
I would've liked to have seen that scene though. After Isha died and Vi protected Jinx from the blast and took the brunt of it. I'd have liked to see Jinx barking at Cait to get Vi help. Then surrendering to her when she did. I know we got a little flash or two when Vi was waking but I'd have really liked to have seen that scene with Jinx.
Ok . Question. Does anyone think Maddie was always a plant? Or do you think she only turned on Cait after hearing this conversation? Hell hath no fury like a Ginger scorned. So was she always a little spy? Or did she turn to the other side after feeling spurned by Cait?
She was always a spy_ Ambessa warned Cait about professional entanglement, and said it again when she was about to kill Cait. Maddie was a mole planted by Ambessa to keep an eye on Cait, bcoz she suspected Cait morality might shift to be on the good side. In Addition, Maddie is wearing a Noxus uniform beneath the Piltover uniform, check the hands you'll see a three node connection which is a symbol of Noxus
im more inclined to believe she switched teams. besides the fact that she's portrayed as being very emotionally-invested in caitlyn up until her betrayal (and didnt seem to care much for caitlyn's alliance with ambessa initially; beyond just supporting caitlyn), ambessa seemed to have taken an interest in caitlyn following her invading the councillor's meeting and announcing she was forming a strike team and taking matters into her own hands... so, in other words, after maddie was already in caitlyn's in-circle - imho, it wouldnt make much sense for ambessa to have planted a spy on caitlyn prior to this. likewise, i think it's the most narratively-satisfying option. first and foremost, maddie is presented as being a very sweet, sensitive and idealistic person, while - also - coming off very naive and gullible; i think it'd make a lot of sense for her character to have slowly been indoctrinated by ambessa's steadfast, results-delivering regime throughout caitlyn's time allied with her (especially because she seemed to be the closest person to caitlyn during these times). i imagine that (following a seeming-betrayal from caitlyn) maddie felt she had no more reason to continue siding with piltover, and (as a result) turned to the noxians; not necessarily just out of spite, but also believing them to be the morally-superior side (not siding with jinx, cracking down on the undercity, delivering on all of their promises, etc) meanwhile caitlyn, the de-facto leader of piltover's side, was unable to really follow through on her main promise and ultimately ended up allowing jinx to live. arcane's all about the "butterfly effect"; every bad and traumatic thing we witness our characters endure was brought about because of something they did proceeding it - i think it's the most in-keeping with this theme, for maddie's betrayal to have been a monster caitlyn inadvertently-created as a result of (what maddie perceived it to be) a betrayal on her part

@ it was very rushed in general (season 2). The only way they could make Jinx go into a spiral of depression was make someone close to her die. It couldn’t be Vi so what better option than to create a new character and kill them off few eps later. :/
Spoilers:
Maddie’s fate has been made the moment she became a side chick
Yay she's dead
How long was Vi unconscious for?
Poor maddie :[
She was a spy dude
Umm.... can someone explain what Caitlyn meant when she said "you didn't let me on that part of your plan?" Like I know she is talking about Jinx here, but like how exactly did Vi plan to have Vander escape?
@@wasupp_pal well, Caitlyn did try to wake Vander up but it didn't seem to work lol
Vi couldn't tell Cait Jinx was involved because she didn't trust Cait would help her with Jinx being a part of the plan.
@@vickell2887are you sure she didn’t tell jinx to be on watch?
She didn’t deny it
@@Chillingqueen3 well she didn’t have time to return to the compound and talk to Jinx before Caitlyn brought her in to Ambessa, and she didn’t know that the Noxians were there to get Vander until Caitlyn told her.
Maddie has no authority here
Why did Vi's hair color change after a few days ? TT
The Black was paint, cheap paint.
She took an actual shower instead of dunking her head in a sink and screaming over her lost cupcake.
Shower to rinse cheap dye
@@PunkiniSo someone showered her while she was unconscious 👀
she did wake up in caits bed. cait probably took care of her and watched over her when she could.
Can so explain what Cailtyn means with “you think I am so daft I can’t recognize a contingency?”
Not native speaker sorry
Vi told Cait she was trying to save her dad (a.k.a. Vander), but didn’t tell her that Jinx was there, too. Cait didn’t know Jinx was Vi’s hidden back-up plan in case something unexpcetedly happened, because at that point of time, Cait was still teaming up with Ambessa.
I *hate* when people try to redeem characters that committed enough crimes to give them 10+ life sentences.
I KNOWRR
😮😮😮😮
sorry not realize, arrived to a conclusion that her sister best chance with a good life is with cait and away from her.
I'm still mad at how they did Maddie dirty
I really liked her
She had potential and they wasted it
😡😡😡
@@mauriceisaac3646 u think vi gives a damn
@@brandr7964 Exactly my point.
She was betraying her way before this.
Why was this guy loris added atleast Maddie had a plot
Caitlyn was too cold towards Maddie. She treated her like a prop. Cold hearted. 🩵🥶🧊.
TBF Maddie was just a hookup to help Cait get over Vi
@TheWolfsHowl666 yea i kinda figured that but i still didn't like the whole situation.
@@zaddyfaye6880 I like this! I agree with a good portion of it. I was just curious about peoples thoughts on how it went down. :)
@@zaddyfaye6880 Plus it had to hurt - that Cait put Vi in what looks to be HER bed, to recover. Maddie probably doesn't like another woman in Cait's bed. lol
