I'm a Corbyn supporter & I think Prescot came across well in this interview and spoke his mind without smearing Corbyn.
What I think this interview shows is that on policy, the majority of the Labour party agree with Corbyn. Their reason for not supporting him is largely because they don't think he looks telegenic enough or polished enough to be PM.
But after the broken promises & pathological behaviour of polished leaders like Blair, Cameron & Clegg, I think the public are ready for authenticity.
If Atlee could beat Churchill in 1945, then Corbyn can beat Boris or Osborne in 2020. And he defintely will if austerity causes another recession between now and then.

+ethelthecat1 I'm glad you support that idiot, as he will never get in power . money doesn't grow on trees mate. yes you can borrow money to tied you over and get some growth in a recession but it very difficulty to grow your way out of deficit without cutting expenditure. I done some simple equations to calculate what we would have to do to grow the UK out of debt and our economy would need to grow at 9% for 5 years. That's more than china. Every advanced economy can only grow a about 2-3%

jgtemperton the real question is , are people prepared to work for it rather than just handed to them. The Romans had the plebians which was a welfare state for the romans. The had to expand to pay for them all and it collapsed. I have no problem for a part of my salary to help the poor but provuded they help themselfs. The definition. Of poverty quoted by borwn and labour which is holdhold with an income below the median is usless because they obviously don't about statistics. There will always be 60% below the median, meanings poverty cannot to improved . so if you gave everyone £1 million you would still have the same amount of people in poverty. The fact is if the intest on the debt become a significant part of the deficit then is become unepayable. Sorry for the spelling I'm typing on a phone.

+jgtemperton The problem is that there isn't much alternative to capitalism, I agree once there is an established rich, then it become difficult to attain the same as the rich have enough money to invest and make even more money. The problem we have with capitalism in this country is that we are totally free while other country's are not. Like rich Chinese can buy by property's in London and then rent them out. pushing up the prices for everyone else, moreover they don't have to pay capital gains tax which pisses me off.The other system is communism, but socialism is just a slightly watered down version. Do you really want to live in a country were you get wake up in your government house, go to work on either a government transportation (car, rail or bus) to your government job, then government dictating every aspect of your life. Capitalism serves anyone who is prepared to take a risk, whether its financial or effort. Some time those risks pay off, most don't. i

Good on Prescott. Good to know there are people who oppose Corbyn without being hysterical/abusive.

+zaygezunt I think he's a decent and friendly guy, one of the best news presenters- though that's hardly difficult with so much idiotic self-serving right wing propaganda.

At the first ballot for Labour leader I voted for my local MP out of a sense loyalty. However, the truculent behaviour of the PLP led me to vote for Corbyn the second time around. During both ballots the subject of anti-Semitism never reared its head. Either Corbyn was good at keeping his cards close to his chest so nobody realised he was a anti-Semitic or anti-Semitism is being shamelessly used by people who should now better to bring him down.

John knows about change, left wing labour to deputy leader to member of house of £300 a day club. The sooner labour gets rid of his ilk the better. He even suggested his munt as an mp.
