i don't know how they manage it, but in Eurovision is the only place where LIVE singers sound better than on a studio recording.

I wish people didn't undermine this win so much. Do you genuinely not understand how hard it is to sing and rap on a spinning platform, running and jumping, while also 100% being yourself at the risk of criticism? The onslaught of hate for Nemo was a lot during May and it was really sad to see. Nemo didn't do anything wrong, if anything, this is one of the most impressive winning performances, like, ever... a really great singer.

I am more fascinated by how they can jump and run around and then sing operas continuously at the end.
I learned 10 years singing( I had been sopran). In singing is banned to hear gasping or breathing. My teacher told me to almost not to breath.
He is hitting high notes and has good intonation, but this kind of screaming has nothing to do with opera singing.

Rewatched this performance after a while just to see if maybe I was looking at it with rose-tinted glasses, but no. Literally a winning performance! From the vocals to the performance, the skill and everything. Not a single moment wasted. All notes carried and maintained despite running around. Love you so much, Nemo, you are an absolute legend for this, and can't wait to hear more from you in the future!
there's no words to describe the opera singing before the final performance except "pure grace". truly a gem of a eurovision winner... shame it's going to get trashed on because 2024 was a messy ESC year

One of the best vocals ever in Eurovision, absolutely deserved win.
Nemo displayed complete technical mastery with his vocals and had an impressive and unique performance. This was a performance worthy of a global star. It should be no surprise that he won the jury by a landslide.

Any professional in the industry would tell you that this is by far the most technical and richest performance out of all the competitors.
The jury is not mistaken here.
Pitch mastery, vocal control and style technique (lyrical / opera, scat, pop), musical diversity with variations in rhythm, intensity, interesting harmony using tritones without a melodic fluency breach (at least for a pop song), original yet catchy melody (especially the refrain) which people can sing along. And that is ONLY the theoretical skills the song implies.
The performer here does it with such a perfect mastery that it seems to be EASY.
Not a single off-pitch note, perfect attack, intent, vibration, velocity, whatever the technique used (scat apart). Very fast tempo, meaning the vocal technique has to be flawless. Jumping, running, staying in equilibrium on a moving platform spinning on itself (he definitely is a dancer, he always manages to stay in front of the camera), without anytime seeming to be catching his breath or suffering a drawback from the intense performance.
None of the other performances were at this level. As someone who works in the industry as well, I can tell you especially vocalists are all in awe. If all you have to say is about sexual orientation / gender / outfit, it also means that the performer made you forget how hard it is, and this is where you recognize mastery.
Also, from a more social perspective, artistry is filled with people with a singularity who need to express how they feel and see the world, they are here to interrogate boundaries, whether it is to our preference or not. Therefore, lots of social outcasts or behavioral dissidents are in the artist world. So LGBTQIA+ people, who need their voices to be heard so that they can exist, are definitely going to be more represented in the artistry world. And that works with all minorities. I can tell you that in this industry, you are forced to be tolerant. Even if it sadly can be a door open for all kind of abuses on people as well.

I'm not a pro, but I have some kind of knowledge in modern music. Richness is what defines this song, you have a little of something, pop, hip hop, operish, and the rock attitude (for more information about rock attitude, check Maneskin 2021) but well mixed. A real intro, that get you in the mood, an little announcement of the chorus, then back to calm, rap, an epic bridge, then a majestic chorus.... everything is perfect. The brass section reminds me to a James Bond movie

Nemo's performance left me absolutely lost for words and was so happy they won, when I saw ppl getting angry I was so confused?? I don't think people really realize how ABSOLUTELY INSANE Nemo's voice is and how INCREDIBLY HARD AND RISKY it is to pull this performance off.

Croatia was very much like “Kaarija was succesful, Lets do something in that vibe”. Like don’t get me wrong, the song is very catchy and Marco is very funny and charming, but the live wasn’t the best and Honestly i got anxiety from the mess of a stage. I’m glad that this song won and I’m sure Baby lasagna found a new loyal audience through Eurovision.
I also didn’t like the fact that croatian jury used the “tactical voting” and gave switzerland zero.

Guys, this is an excellent performance. The singer is hitting the highest notes jumping on a rotating platform and could be perfectly on tune. The falsetto was used in a very clever way and the technic was out standing! Even if the song wasn't the best in the contest, Nemo made the best performance and deserved to win. Even if you don't agree you should stop sending hate to Nemo.

Well is a deserved win, i never came back to a song from eurovision, but this one is a very good song, i don t care about the competition i just listen it cause i like it. I don’t hate anyone. Nemo’s song was ok- it shows what they can do with their voice+ doing it while spining. And it is all great. All that is made for judges.
But you also need to have charisma, energie and song with whitch would public feel conection. Nemo doesn’t have that. Minority of public felt it.
Most of the haters are either jealous that their favorite didn't win or are homophobic. But what haters say doesn't change the fact that Nemo is one of the best winners.

Honestly the reason i enjoyed this was because of how simple it was, no back up dancers or over the top special effects and i could hear the lyrics not to mention the singing was beautiful. They also managed to hit every note despite being out of breath. They deserved the win
The 2024 Eurovision had massively impressive contestants overall. Nearly anyone could've been a winner. But this song live, as it was on the grand finale, was superb. Relatable. Magical. Simple yet so strong. So much depth in a single song.. Just goosebumps re-watching it.

Nemo's performance is epic.. Yes absolutely.. but the song is really average.. doesn't deserve a win.
This was easily the best performance that evening. Strongest, most technically skilled voice, while moving and dancing. This was a very deserved win, and I'm frankly shocked to see that so many people are disagreeing with this one. There was no doubt in my mind who deserved the win after I had seen this performance, and none of the others before or after it could really compete. Frankly, only Ireland, due to the novelty, I could actually have seen beating out Nemo, but it seems that was _too_ crazy for a win.
But overall, a highly competitive Eurovision, unlike many other times!

To be honest, this is the song that was completely destined to win Eurovision, the song that is mix of 3 music styles, the performance of the singer who could sing while running, dancing, doing literally intervals between some parts of the song is exceptional, and staging, so simplistic yet do exciting that no one has seen it on Eurovision yet.
I was rooting for Croatia this year, but this is the song I would vote too.
