We do have the players in my opinion but you have to look how much Australia have improved since Schmidt got here, and he's only been in the job for 4 months! Gatland has completely lost the dressing room and it shows.
How can you say that. Worst consecutive run in their history. If that’s not worth sacking your coach for then what is?? Yes Wales are in a bad spot but how can you not hold professional coaches accountable for their performance. If he’s not sacked for this then he’s unsackable… that’s a slippery slope my friend.
@rabbitss11 you’ve got to be joking. Just look at what Schmidt has done since Eddie Jones went. Everyone in Australia was saying ‘we just don’t have the players’. Complete bull: the coach makes a massive difference, firstly by finding the right players.
@@alexpughpt7301they shouldn't have sacked Pivac. He was most of the way through a wide-ranging revamp of the team's culture and playing style, much as Dave Rennie was with Australia when he was similarly dumped. The unseemly race back to their respective comfort zones with rushed reappointments of Gatland and Jones respectively has been a disaster for both teams.
Difficult game to gauge where the Wallabies are at as opposition left early with their supporters - Joe Schmidt’s job is to keep his troops grounded and reset for Scotland which has the potential to be the best game of the whole Autumn series
So happy for the wallabies! It’s great to see them playing better. What to say about wales. They’ve had Gats there for years. Whatever the issue with lack of experience and balance in the team, is on him. It really is.
Told you! I congratulated Australia in your preview match before the game was even played. Gatland needs to go! I think what's becoming evident now is one of two things. Either Gatland is out of ideas or he never was the main man responsible for Wales previous success, Shaun Edwards was. It's probably a combination of both to be honest. On the actual game. There were 2 players for Wales that looked good. Tom Rogers and Jac Morgan. I felt so sorry for Rhodri Williams. He put in this beautiful 50-22 only for the boys to cough it up at line out. That being said, Australia obviously deserved winners, played really well. Tom Wright is a star full back! Hell of a player. The only area that I could see Wales looked a bit better than Australia was the scrum. But we couldn't make anything from it. Ahh.. Reminds me of Welsh rugby before 2005 again.
Rugby supporters all over the world admire the wonderful tradition of Welsh rugby. Wales will be back. Australian and NZers know what its like to be in the dole drums but it will change. Go the red dragons.
Wtf, crazy game. I only caught the first half where first Aus were running away with it, then Wales were coming back into it big time. Missed the second half to come see on review Aus red card and they ran away with it after all 🤣
We're here in wales supposed to have snow next week. Please lots of it dont won't to play springboks. Springboks with their second/third team would put 50 points on us. Probably a hammering by 50,60 maybe even 70 points incoming. Dark days ahead for welsh rugby I'm afraid to say.
@davidevenden9294 Oh, let's be more positive... The Boks will put out a different team for sure, but will give away plenty of penalties to make it a more even contest. They might even make it a 7-1 split on the bench to troll Gatland. Yesterday was a truly sad day for Welsh rugby.
@@vidalisik2798 I hear you. These penalties are frustrating as can be.If they can shed that and get flow Wales are staring down the barrel for sure.2nd choices or not
This time last year Wales thumped the Wallabies in France. Now the Wallabies return the favor. Australia are they really improving. Two weeks in a row we have seen them play running rugby. Pass out in front, players running onto the ball, footwork, offloads and great support lines. Haven’t seen this in 20 years!! Can we get it three weeks in a row?
Difference between the 2 teams is the standard of coaching and Australia are leagues above us in that regard in terms of game-management, quick thinking in critical moments and controlling the momentum of the game and that's all thanks to Schmidt. 40 of the 52 points Australia scored they hardly had to work for them as we either gave them a free run in from an interception or give away a cheap penalty for them to effortlessly maul their way over. Rugby is all about momentum and we cannot gain it to save our lives. Bottom line is...I've seen pub teams look better drilled than this Welsh team and it's very embarrassing to admit that.
Don`t see Gats being there come the 6 nations , at least the new coach wont have any unrealistic expectations on his back , Ireland will hoping we can put a dent into the Aussie juggernaut , at least next years Irish&Lions trip down south wont be the walk over it seemed a year ago . What`s Rassie gonna do next week
Joe Schmidt is doing a FANTASTIC job with the Wallabies! Exactly what he did with Ireland. In the mean time questions must now be asked about Gatland, Borthwick and Robinson. Not exactly recent records to be proud of. Well done Wallabies!
Our front 5 is atrocious minus dewi lake. No depth at 9 and 10 either. Back three are alright but too small. Back rows are the only area where we are actually have a lot of quality.
Worst match I've ever seen in my lifetime from Wales, a complete reversal from the World Cup. Conceding 3 tries while the opposing team is a man down is unforgivable...
Weird to see the ABs drop the ball for the SH this tour. As a long suffering wobs fan this is great to see. Wobs are relentless at the moment and have good variety in the ways they can score. Sorry times for Wales and looks pretty grim for next week. 14 and the scrums were a ray of sunshine for Wales.
Line up for SA should be Mathias, Lake, H Thomas, Tshiunza, Plumtree, Morgan, Reffell, Wainwright, Bevan, B Thomas, Murray, James, Llewelyn, Dyer, Rogers
If you are a bit off your game the Rugby Championship is probably the worst competition to be in. Maybe Aus isn't quite ready to challenge for the number 1 spot yet, but they seem to be moving in the right direction. NZ looks to be improving as well. Hard to tell where SA is heading as they have a different team every week.
Very happy with the win after getting up early to watch this. Not expecting the scoreline but very concerned now with Wales and what's happening with them. Something tells me South Africa might try and one up the Wallabies next week. Next week Scotland and hopefully another good game.
Maybe Australia is on resurgence as not only beat Wales but also England. Time will tell! Rugby is in good place for the spectators and fans as the difference between teams is much closer!
Im pretty confident Gatland will be gone by the end of the year, even if he stays in the Six nations we arent winning a game and no coach can stay with 17 losses in a row.
@Zveebo I think the WRU just dont have a plan, they are realising getting rid of Shaun Edwards was a huge mistake because they thought all the previous success was down to Gatland.
This was a totally different Wallabies outfit compared to when they were playing down under with that obliteration of Wales. But yeah, grassroots development issues me thinks in Cymru land.
Wales on a losing streak what an embarrassment and what’s worse for them next week is they are facing the Springboks that’s gonna be a hurt train for them their coach is in the shambles
I have 4 tickets for next week’s match (£50 each - thanks WRU). Very tempted to give them away so me and my mates can go to the pub instead. Welsh rugby in free fall.
Had to deal with plenty of arrogant Welsh fans down the years so don't feel much sympathy for them. It's crazy how far they have fallen and the URC results show it's not really a shock
I can have some sympathy with the fans. But no sympathy for Gatland - guys been full of it over the years, so delighted to see his reputation fall apart.
I have ZERO sympathy for the Welsh fans and team. Living in Wales as an Englishman, haven't met one Welsh fan that wants England to be successful. I want anyone to win against Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
Unfortunately I was out and missed the game, after seeing the result, I feel it' s too painful to watch. The WRU now have to seriously consider Gatland's position.
This has been coming - we're not surprised in Wales, I hate to say. It'll get much worse too - we'll get torn from limb by South Africa next week then we're looking at another wooden spoon in the 6 nations. The sport has been dying here for some time - I think we might be witnessing the last few breaths.
Australia are back. Well done lads, from an Englishman. Thanks for beating our noisy neighbours from over the bridge and congrats for the result against us last week.
There's been too many false dawns for Australia over the last 20 years. If they defeat Scotland, and are able to play a tight contest with Ireland, then perhaps the Wallabies are back
Wales stsrted poorly but finished the hslf strong. Looking to be a close game but sfter the red card Aus went up another gear and mauled over Wales. Then Wales had to force it too much. Solid win from Aus but Wales are in their dark era and it ain't getting bright any time soon.
Go you bloody good thing... Well what difference an actual couch makes... So all those who weren't convinced Joe was their man to change the fortune's of Aussie rugby may be looking at eating humble pie.. The Grand Slam Dream is alive Scotland next. The test v Ireland is shaping up to be a real humdinger.. how good.
Not sure on the maths but go this put Wales below Georgia on world rankings? Guess we'll see tomorrow when they're released... Not good for Welsh rugby.
The Joe Schmidt effect showing fruit. Wales in a dire state. Not sure how responsible WRU is, but Gats is not the problem. However, he'd be better off calling it a day. The Lions tour looks a bit more of a challenge now.
There is alot of people defending Warren Gatland -but i think they are very misguided. "players are not good enough!" - well there's rhys carre, macs page and could of been IFW (lost to england) if he wouldn't of slagged him off. He must go. simple.
Sorry for Wales- who's fault is it? Not just Gatland surely. Need to rebuild from school level upwards. Who else would want the coaching job? Glad for Australia. Well deserved win
If it was anyone other than Gats he would have been sacked by now. Problem is I don't think anyone else would get any better results than him. WRU has gutted the game here. "If there's a fire you're trying to douse you can't put it out from inside the house". WRU can't put out the fire they started.
Welsh rugby is in a really sad state right now. I could only watch the 1st half. Terrible start, but fought back only to completely sh*t the bed in the 2nd half. Change must come. Wales is better than this. This Aussie team isn't very good.
Horror show with no surprises is it the WRU or the IRB whose side 49% of international gate money goes back to Welsh rugby whilst 91% of Irish gate money goes back to the Irish rugby , we were the best team in the six Nations and somebody dosnt like it , Ps Well done Wallibies !!!
I’m a very proud Welshman but our game is finished one believes, because the regions are a mess and Gatland had a bunch of great players who competed and beat the likes of Australia and S.Africa quite regularly and we won grand slams quite easily, but the past is over and one believes he can’t develop these youngsters coming to play now because the regions get no fans well in west Wales, the likes of the Llanelli Scarlets ground is empty, so is the Ospreys were the once mighty Gerry Collins once played and Justin Marshall. I believe our game is gone and unrealistic to think otherwise now, with our football team winning the nations league group, one believes that rugby is over in Wales unless a new coach comes in and produces miracles.
This is the closest I've ever seen you to being angry. I think we're all feeling a bit angry at Wales right now. They are better than this. But I don't see how they get out of this mess, even after Gatland goes.
Welsh fan. Think we need to keep the patience. Very very young team. 6N will be the best indication of where we are. Gats always admits that Autumn's are for experimenting with. Also, I remember a time when we NEVER beat the southern hem teams. Odd change of opinions. WRU does need a real kick up the backside, mind you. Needs to go back to being a proper working class regional sport and not copying the Irish / Scottish model. You've got my backing Gats, and if you leave, I'll be placing blame at WRU door
Yeah crazy thing is that Aussie side all year has been about the same age... Been good to see Schmidt turn them around - hope Gats gets them the click the same way soon
@TwoCentsRugby Yea see many similarities in Oz / Wales. I'd then argue that we are now not quite as good as them, because generally speaking, we have a much smaller base of players to chose from. But isn't it great to see Scmhidt do well. I've given the majority of Irelands success down to him. And I'd hoped (because I love them) he'd become next NZ coach. Hope Oz now back him and get behind him. They'll be a headache for you lot in the coming years, IMO.
2 weeks in a row Wales have lost their heads when they have gained a man advantage. Something stinks and it is too easy to blame Gatland. He’s part of the problem for sure but Welsh Rugby is riddled with problems. Beards selection makes sense even though he never makes dominant carries because once he was off our lineout when it mattered disappeared. This gives me further evidence that the 20 minute red card doesn’t actually affect anything and isn’t a solution. Australia didn’t have to become conservative with their energy, they knew they were going back to a full compliment so of course they could throw everything at Wales.
Australia bubbling under the surface. Delighted for them.

Yes Wales are in a bad spot but how can you not hold professional coaches accountable for their performance. If he’s not sacked for this then he’s unsackable… that’s a slippery slope my friend.
@@alexpughpt7301ye could hire Paul Williams after sacking Gatland 😆😆😆
The stadium was eerily quiet… reminiscent of the empty stadium games during Covid. Also good to see Lolesio playing with some confidence
Yeah man so very quiet....
Dare we say the Wallabies are coming back?
Goodnight Gatland 😅
It was the Wallibies lineout and Maul that won them the game Wales could not stop it.South Africa will do the same with their lineout and maul.
GG Australia, Welcome back.
Difficult game to gauge where the Wallabies are at as opposition left early with their supporters - Joe Schmidt’s job is to keep his troops grounded and reset for Scotland which has the potential to be the best game of the whole Autumn series
Mark, I am watching "By the Balls". I am truly fascinated by the ABs ethos and history. My admiration to the ABs has gone up by two digits!
So happy for the wallabies! It’s great to see them playing better. What to say about wales. They’ve had Gats there for years. Whatever the issue with lack of experience and balance in the team, is on him. It really is.
Joe doing a fine job with the Wallabies! What a team they are now. Slowly building in confidence with solid gameplan.
Joe also did a good job in Ireland it must be remembered.
We we're poor in the 90's and early 2000's no doubt about that, but we were never this poor!
Wow you predicted Wales losing? Nostradamus ova here.
@Camcolito oh look a comedian over here. A comedian that can't spell
@@mrwelshmun Wales will lose to South Africa. MARK MY WORDS.
@Camcolito doubt it.
Definitely won't be the 1st choice team lacing up.
Just put two bets on, Ronan o gara for the job 4/1 and shaun Edwards at 11/1. Fingers crossed for either
I'm glad to see Australia coming good but it's sad to see the state of Welsh rugby
Wait, isn’t Squidge a big Welsh supporter??
Squidge is hardly reluctant to criticise his team to be fair.
And I also don’t think the Boks will field their Big Bomb Squad against Wales.
Maybe just the grenade brigade.
Line up for SA should be Mathias, Lake, H Thomas, Tshiunza, Plumtree, Morgan, Reffell, Wainwright, Bevan, B Thomas, Murray, James, Llewelyn, Dyer, Rogers
More interested in mgt line up😅
Gats should not go, yes its a dire time for us as a proud rugby nation but if anyone can get this young side to click im confident its him
If you are a bit off your game the Rugby Championship is probably the worst competition to be in. Maybe Aus isn't quite ready to challenge for the number 1 spot yet, but they seem to be moving in the right direction. NZ looks to be improving as well. Hard to tell where SA is heading as they have a different team every week.
SA can have a different team every week, such is there depth
I felt those 3 "I don't knows".😂
Even Steven going into a Great Game next week.
Can't Wait😊
Very happy with the win after getting up early to watch this. Not expecting the scoreline but very concerned now with Wales and what's happening with them. Something tells me South Africa might try and one up the Wallabies next week. Next week Scotland and hopefully another good game.
love this review, had me laughing out loud again and again
Losing to Fiji at home was a huge red flag. Now, after a huge thrashing from Australia, it is a green light for the coach to go.
Maybe Australia is on resurgence as not only beat Wales but also England. Time will tell! Rugby is in good place for the spectators and fans as the difference between teams is much closer!
Pretty sure Nick Frosts try was more like 95 meters? In lock meters of course
100%
Tom Rogers played so well for Wales. The rest, not so much!
Hopefully we can win next week aswell and have a good europe tour.
15 a side sevens rugby
I love it 🎉😮
I don't know if it's Wales or Wallabies with that result, both teams can make their case with that.
Im pretty confident Gatland will be gone by the end of the year, even if he stays in the Six nations we arent winning a game and no coach can stay with 17 losses in a row.
I’m increasingly convinced that there’s something in his contract that means the WRU can’t afford to get rid of him.
@Zveebo I think the WRU just dont have a plan, they are realising getting rid of Shaun Edwards was a huge mistake because they thought all the previous success was down to Gatland.
A lot of Lolesio haters were silent over the last few games. Just had to give him time to grow into the position.
Well, you can see what rugby 🏉 team Joe is going to be coaching next!
Auction them! Save yourself the pain of going.
Well that was something alright. Lost the game but had a great night in Cardiff
The welsh looked too small and too slow
..Wales-Rugby needs a big clean-out of all the old debris - gatland & co. Pronto ! ..and bring in the new from ground up !

Well done Wallabies, though not sure on how bad Wales were, they dragged themselves across the field unwillingly...damn
I blame maggie for wales demise😅😅
Is that really the most points Wales conceded to Australia? Thought they scored more in the 90s
In Cardiff I think it's the record they said
Happy but tired 😂 do feel for Wales though and have South Africa next week isn’t going to give them any hope.
Australia are back. Well done lads, from an Englishman. Thanks for beating our noisy neighbours from over the bridge and congrats for the result against us last week.
There's been too many false dawns for Australia over the last 20 years. If they defeat Scotland, and are able to play a tight contest with Ireland, then perhaps the Wallabies are back
men against boys. Welsh back line played like a high school team
So all those who weren't convinced
Joe was their man to change the fortune's of Aussie rugby may be looking at eating humble pie..
Springboks next ……..😭
I hope Schmitt stays on for the World Cup
Got another spare kiwi manager available??? One who knows a few welsh grandparents of kiwi players ????? 😂
Mark reading the stats at the end, sounds like a disappointed teacher
I honestly thought it would be a contest... but yeah.... nope
Another sad day for Welsh rugby 😔
I can see england rugby union trying to buy joe schmidt sooner or later.
Oceania 4/4 with Oceania reeferees 🤪
I dunno if we can place this one at the refs feet 😂
@TwoCentsRugby agree 😁
