Honestly one of the most flattering things that can happen to a human being is to accomplish something so fucking ridiculous that other humans refuse to believe its legitimacy. Toby is borderline superhuman.
Pretty gnarly how the worst-case scenario in skateboarding (i.e. kicking the board out and taking the impact with your feet) is the best-case scenario with parkour. Ali Boulala tried to ollie the Lyon 25 back around 2001 a few times and never tried it again after kicking out. Props to Dom Tomato for flipping down that thing. To me, as a skateboarder, that basically looks like a very stylish suicide attempt.
It is so crazy to me how some humans have the capacity for maximizing their life enjoyment to the extreme, while also having such a willingness to die at any moment, at the same time.
All these freerunners doing insane jumps for their warm ups, And then there's me, where the most extreme thing I do is a 10-15ft drop onto concrete XD. Awesome video, mate. Parkour is amazing.
I've spent 25 years in orthopedics. I love watching this stuff but am also keenly aware of the consequences when it goes sideways. I certainly would never suggest to stop this sort of fun. It's completely off the rails brilliant. But some of the injuries will alter your life forever. With this in mind, calling that ankle injury after the Lyon 25 jump a "bruise" makes me highly suspicious someone missed a talus fracture. I'm curious if there is any follow up on that one. High energy = high consequences.
Exactly my thought. I myself had a minor pathetic accident where I just stopped quickly to not run into a baby but my foot dislocated, tearing three ligaments and nerves. DTs "bruise" looked EXACTLY like my foot looked. I've spent 5years getting my foot stable again, not to speak about the amount of painkillers I've had to be on, happy not to be a American but a European lol. I know ppl from the scene from when I was a kid that are in a wheelchair.
I can't imagine parkour as an Olympic sport, because in general, sports that can be done in a controlled environment are promoted, meaning if you take the necessary precautions you will most likely not get hurt. There is no controlled environment in parkour, but I do admire the balls of parkourers, you're awesome in your own way. I'd be proud of my brother if he could do that (until we get the medical bills, ofc)
I have so much respect for these athletes, I could watch this sport all day. They seem to have the mindset that the world is their playground and that's awesome!
I remember feeling like the entire freerunning culture has leveled up each time Oleg Vorslav, Daniel Ilabaca or Livewire aka Tim Shieff put out a video)
Absolutely love how you did this video and what you included. From an older guy's perspective, these are big moments in parkour, but not all "chart toppers" for "Parkour history". I'm thinking of a parkour athlete being featured in a James Bond film, the premier of Jump London, Shell's Electric Storm and the birth of UK Parkour at South Bank. I feel like you could do 5 categories and do a top 10 for each of them. Parkour as part of a Madonna tour was probably the world's biggest exposure, adjusted for the time it happened.

have never really done parkour, but this has certainly piqued my interests... consider parkour classes booked, and elbow pads ordered! this is going to be a great adventure.
When Jaws (Aaron Hamoki) did it, that was pretty epic. The Lyon 25 on feet, all due respect to that Dom fella, doesn't seem that crazy when you've Hamoki and Ali Boulala (the first skater to ever attempt that set) attempt it on a board and bail to their feet tons of times. Keeping the board under your feet for that big a drop while moving that fast and also landing on a board are what made that set so difficult. Landing into a somersault is something I think both Boulala and Jaws could've done pretty easily.
wow. this just came up on my RUclips feed. I had to go back to watch some of the old videos from back when I was training (07-11) to make sure that none of them belong in this, and damn, you made a good list. cheers.

it was in Flip's "Sorry" video which came out in 2002, not sure when it actually happened tho....
Toby and all of storror are legends proud to have supported the last 6 years❤
Toby is not human I swear. He's flipping insane so is Dom.
Big up storror gave me a channel I never knew I'd get addicted to watching parkour until I saw them and then realising they was in/used for 6 underground one of my favourite movies just made me so proud🥰 now I enjoy so many other creators that don't just do skits, it's pure talent👌 anyone who can do parkour are amazing cos I can barely walk up the stairs without falling or getting out of breath😂
New video idea; The Greatest Ankles in Parkour History: The Dom Tomato Story
7:07 - Bro, that fall was scary as hell... This guy could easily shatter his skull.
In slow motion you can see his head shaking absorbing the impact.
have never really done parkour, but this has certainly piqued my interests... consider parkour classes booked, and elbow pads ordered! this is going to be a great adventure.
so, how's it goin' now?
@@altinq4114 he died I think
@@Kiralmao probably....
i remember 10 y/o watching this on repeat in lockdown, crazy to think this was almost 3 years ago and how much I've changed since
Honestly DOMTOM's flips onto the dock pylons blew me away. Absolutely mad.
Great video man but I feel you are missing a few moments from the OG's of parkour like some David Belle or even Sebastien Foucan.
When he fell of the tower I saw his head shake when he hit it
When Jaws (Aaron Hamoki) did it, that was pretty epic.
Yoda could destroy all these guys at 850 years old...
It seems like Dom does things so effortless
Fabio Wibmer also did that huge stair set on his Bike.
Yes, but with suspension and shit
Yeah
@@camerongill5200 still it didn't go well he got seriously injured
Calen chans screw driver kong gainer full
So how did he get down????
wow. this just came up on my RUclips feed. I had to go back to watch some of the old videos from back when I was training (07-11) to make sure that none of them belong in this, and damn, you made a good list. cheers.
(not my videos, videos of people who I was watching back then* )
