In all fairness, removing the optical drive is pretty much the only decision that was referenced in this video that was the right call. I switched to USB drives years ago because I just don't need them that much. And I mostly use a desktop computer that's got the space to put one in. The worst one, not the hockey puck mouse as much as I'd like it to be that, was the period where they sold laptops with one USB-C port that was used both for charging and for connecting devices.
Don't forget that Touch Bar also got boiling lava hot. I have a macbook pro with it and after a little while of working I am pretty sure you could cook an egg on it.

My 2018 MacBook Pro is fairly cool until safari goes on a rampage of doing something odd which I haven't got narrowed down to a specific reason yet and it's been a couple of years. It does web browsing fine but I've never thought of the Touch Bar as being too hot just because of it being the Touch Bar.

I used to have a Logitech wireless mouse that ran on batteries. The batteries were removable and the wireless port was also a charging station. It came with 2 batteries, so I could charge one and still use it. With Apple, you get 1 mouse and (maybe) one cable to charge it (not sure if it's included, as I haven't checked and don't really care). If you want to continue using it, when it needs to be charged, you just buy a 2nd mouse. Simple Apple Logic, I guess...

10 minutes of charging lasts about 10 hours of use. Just plug it in and go make some coffee or something. At the end of the day, charge it overnight and it’ll last another month. It’s not the end of the world. It does come with the cable too.

As a person who makes frequent spelling errors, I actually really like the touch bar on my mac. Because it shows me correct spelling and I can just click it instead of whole selecting the word and right clicking it.
I loved the 3D Touch and thought it was one of the best implemented features of the iPhone and was devastated when they removed it on the subsequent phones. You really feel the “time” as you hold down and wait for the “press” to happen.
One of the worst things Apple got wrong: the 2016-2019 butterfly keyboard! and i just got my Apple MacBook Keyboard class action lawsuit checks, yesterday (7 yrs later) 😝
Work laptops got switched from Lenovo (I had P51, mostly were P52s) to Dells (Precision I think, cant be bothered to remember), maaaaaaaaaan Dells are the biggest pieces of shit I have ever seen, the plastic, the quality, the cooling, the touch pad, not a single thing is good.

The Cube was actually an absolute great design. I have seen it, worked on it and opened and reassemble it. Know what ? That thing was so quick to open... Today it's glued craft by kids. Design left with Jhonny.

I'm using an HP 6730b Laptop from 2008 and it has a touchbar like thing, so Apple isn't that innovative, and it's a useful stuff, so it's a bad thing that they've removed it.
