But he’s also stronger in other areas. Objectively thought Zayn is definitely stronger and has a voice all ppl can appreciate compared to almost all artist of our Gen(truly one in a million).

He lost a lot of confidence over the years, though, which is sad, but he seems to be regaining it back, now, and hopefully the more he does on his own, the more confident he becomes again. To the people insulting this performance: I’d like to see you do this song live. Because of the arrangement of the notes, it is extremely difficult to do, especially live with an audience like that. So, maybe Bebe didn’t sound the best, Louis had a couple rough spots but overall I think he did great. They are HUMAN and it’s a hard song, just because they don’t sound 100% like the studio version doesn’t mean they can’t sing, in fact they both have beautiful and unique voices. It's so sad that Louis isn't getting as much attention compared to the other 1D boys. His song is just as great as Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Niall Horan. I'm glad they are doing well, but why isn't poor Louis doing as amazing?

Purely musically and lyricwise , Sign of the times blows it out of the water. If we go by catchiness, then while it's pretty good, strip that down still beats it.
And another big reason is that Louis, and more importantly Bebe are not as good live. Even if they sing well, their voices are too different from the studio track.

Louis’ voice is almost the same since 2010 💞
He lost a lot of confidence over the years, though, which is sad, but he seems to be regaining it back, now, and hopefully the more he does on his own, the more confident he becomes again. He used to belt his lungs out without a second's pause, and it's kind of heartbreaking to realise what changed along the way.
