100% agree. Didn't think about it until you mentioned it. It's about bringing back the dead. As far as we know Victor "cures" them but they aren't breathing. They are dead.
I have to be honest, I now need just a wacky spin off of Lupa, in live action, just chasing after Jinx to try and arrest her or something and it leads to all sorts of antics.
I’m starting to think Sky is a representation of Viktors humanity, as well as what holds him back and makes him realize what is going to far. He may not die here, but sky will, and thus his emotions. And begin his emotionless path to Glorious Evolution from the lore
Jayce saw the void, and the unrestrained power capable of enslaving entire continents. I feel like Jayce fought that power wherever he was this last six months, and lost only to get pulled back home where the power of the void over humanity was just getting started. Whether or not Jayce's actions lead to the Void becoming what he fought, or Viktor was always going to be an unwilling participant in world domination is up for grabs until we get the last three episodes.
And now Jinx's new look makes sense, it's gonna be an homage to Isha. Shark teeth around the head, pink under eye, the various scribbles on the outfit.
I really like what arcane doing here with Vi, Jinx, Isha and Vander all living happily together in Viktor's cult commune as one new big family but in the end, Jinx lost the most important person in her life again 😢
@@lucylucian2564 I see it differently, Isha and Vander both helped calm the voices in her head and just let her have powder back, but most importantly they helped her and Vi get back together. I think Vi is going to help keep her sane, and they’re going to be able to be there for eachother in a way they couldn’t have been before
one thing I think people overlooked is that when Vander/Warwick got spooked by the sizzling noise and start to growling. those people reacted to him way too calm and chill. they barely made a flinch. Even Rictus, a well trained soldier got scared at Vander/Warwick.
Mood, just like how the man at the front gate (blanking on his name) didn't react at all to the Noctus soldiers essentially preparing to kill him for entry... they are all so unnaturally calm in the face of danger
Warwick went nuts because Singed woke up inside the dome when Cait,Vi,Powder, and Isha went outside to see whats going on. He injected him with that serum he had in that disk injector thing.
Is that confirmed? I assumed it was the same thing as what happened to everyone else on the commune. The best parts of their soul that Viktor brought out, died with him. Vander died with Viktor, and what's left is just Warwick
@@RaviPatel-lb7uc they cut to Singed standing in the dome right before the shot of Ambessa standing over her boos body. He mentioned earlier that he was going in there to finish his work on him, which is what the serum was. Its also the only thing that can explain why there's literal lava flowing out of Vanders body. He has a totally different response than all of the others Viktor has touched, so one could assume that something else happened to him, especially with the way the cuts are shown.
@@BuffPomsky i can agree with that. I think theres a lot going on to be able to do it in the moment. I wouldnt be surprised if we get dialogue in the next few episodes from Singed confirming it.
What I feel with Isha is that she fully understood what she was doing. She had already witnessed Vander being resistant to hextech and she spends every waking moment with a genius that reverse engineered hextech in weeks with next to no resources. She figured if she overcharged the weapon with multiple hexcores she'd die but she'd free Vander as well cause nothing can be that resistant to hextech. Like it wasn't the actions of a naive child. Like she knew it was the only way
Just because a child can't talk doesn't mean there isn't a wonderful intellect behind their eyes. I wish everyone would understand. Some brains are just wired different. We have to stop trying to make them behave a certain way, and instead try and see the world from their perspective. Or we're gonna miss out on so much time and love and instead incur frustration and suffering.
As a League lore fan, I’ve spent years bracing myself for possible disappointment, thinking nothing could live up to Season 1. But here we are… THEY SURPASSED IT (in my opinion). I can’t even process what Act 3 is going to do to me emotionally... Arcane is pure art. It's all just perfection. A narrative that heals us before it destroys us. It’s storytelling at its finest. I deeply think I have never seen characters (especially female characters) written in such a way, with such depth, flaws, and raw realism. Massive respect to the French Studio Fortiche and Riot's writers, you’ve created one of the most breathtaking works of fiction EVER. Bravo!
Skye’s energy got absorbed by the hex core and her body was turned to ash. She became one with the core. When victor was dying Jayce place the core on him and the core (maybe even skye chose to fuse with him and his body. Last time victor was about to fuse with it, he pulled away. Now he has the core and Skye’s soul.
@@fanto860 considering what we’ve seen, that’s unlikely. Otherwise “Sky” would want to exploit Vander to get more power. She clearly serves as a moral compass for Victor which now most likely is gone after Jayce made a hole in Victor’s body.
Viktor was actively calming Vander down inside, that's why he was too distracted and only see Jayce on the last second. He definitely made progress but I think it would still need quite a while for Vander to have stable condition via Viktor magic
Sadly, the biggest flaw of Viktor's method is the hivemind element. If whatever happens to Viktor everyone is fucked, not to mention that we don't know if there are other limitations, such as range.
@@poxelusthe hive mind sucks, but the fact is theres no cure for the things he is curing. Treatment maybe, but no cure. As for range, most people un leaguebnever leave there ciry state and we know his range is great enough to go from the lowest point of zaun, all the way to the top of piltover.
To answer Sheera's question. Yes Singed did see that Viktor can restore someone's mind which is something he wants for his daughter but he pointed out that Viktors power was finite meaning it wouldn't last. So by combining Viktor with Warwicks blood(the regenerative qualities) it would become infinite. Viktor and everyone he has marked would live forever... as a hivemind under Viktors control but still immortal. The question should be is immortality worth the loss of free will.
Free will or humanity. It's being played out in real time. We already have AI making art and music, usually something reserved to self concious beings with the breathe of the creator. If Viktor survives he will change his mind now.
that's my thought process too like I think Viktor would've been OK but now it seems like Jayce killed the humanity in him & now he'll want to get rid of it to "help" people 😬
I don't know, I feel like he might be the only one (besides Heimer and Ekko) who sees the threat of the Arcane or at least whatever Viktor is tampering with. More people need to realize how the commune and Viktor's healing is a bit nefarious or sinister even if Viktor himself doesn't realize it. I mean how much free will does the commune even have if Viktor can take them over on a whim and their life is basically tied to Viktor, so are they even really alive? It's just a shame that Vander, Vi, and Jinx got mixed up in all of it. Just my thoughts.
I'm with Jayce he went to the future and saw something terrible he saw something we didn't and came back to the past fully prepared to do what's necessary to prevent that future from coming true, killing Viktor was to defend the tomorrow of Zaun and Piltover he is the Defender of Tomorrow.
Someone pointed out that the hexcore evolves and destroys itself constantly. Viktor was evolving and “helping” people. Whatever change he made we see through Jayce’s eyes in quick bursts. Jayce is the destructive side of the hexcore. Whatever was shown to him was the opposite of what was shown to Viktor. They both might just be pawns. We see Skye guiding and encouraging Viktor, but what’s guiding Jayce?
He made a promise to not fail and that's the name of the next episode. Killing Viktor might not have fixed everything but it was probably damage control.
@@mod7065 We see "Skye". We also see Kino who turned out not Kino. This "Skye" guided Viktor to this Gate, encouraged him to "help" people, and is never shown to have her glasses, a sign of human imperfection (even though she had glasses in Viktor's first vision of her after awakening). Something hijacked his memory of her and has been using it to manipulate him, the very thing that killed her.
Jayce really loved Viktor as a friend. We’ve seen him trying to help or save him numerous times before. For him to Want to kill Victor, truly means that he’s seen something crazy. Cause the old Jayce would NEVER purposefully hurt his friend like that.
You can see the Doctor standing in the rubble after Warwick went crazy so it was the doctor that injected the serum that caused warwick to turn, so it wasn't jayce's fault entirely
You are correct, Singed/Dr. Reveck was standing with the vial in his hands. The only problem was that with Viktor currently dying, everyone who is connected to him is experiencing it, so Vander/Warwick was preoccupied. (Ngl if it weren't for the League Lore, I would have loved to see Jinx or Caitly pop a bullet in his head)
Cait choked out Singed, but when the commune started to die and they stepped out to see wtf was going on, they left Singed inside with Vander. The laval thingy is probably the serum he mentioned, but there's also a chance that he was affected too by Viktor dying
First, it was 100% a deliberate decision that Cait wiped the spit right towards her mouth. Second, Jayce out here menacingly lurking with his new found schizophrenia.
It’s both beautiful and absolutely tragic that Victor is literally connected to all of the people he has healed. Beautiful because it gives them all a strong and nurturing bond with Victor tragic because they all equally feel how painful physical and spiritually his loss is.
Can't lie that episode made me tear up. Little girl was so ready to die to protect Jinx. One person's villain is another's hero. So many parallels in this episode, beautifully done as always.
Watched all of Act 2 and my heart still aches afterwards. Act 2 will heal you up and then break you down again and watching edits of this episode on social media doesn't make it any better😭 Well done Riot well done. R.I.P. to Isha & Vander.
Cait: oh we're getting revenge! Vi: bla bla bla Cupcake. Cait: okay so there are 2 guards here, personal guard there, don't underestimate Ambessa, oh and spit on my face.
I think the whole sky thing is a manipulation tactic from the arcane itself. A personification of it by picking familiar person to enhance viktor's own decision
It was a good parallel but Isha didn’t make the same mistake Powder did. Powder accidentally killed her friends because she didn’t know what raw hexcores could do. Isha knew she was going to take out Vander and kill herself in the process in order to save Jinx and end Vander’s suffering
22:50 Vander didn't die he passed out giving the elusion of death and after all the mayhem Singed, just like he did with Jinx, brought Vander back from the brink of death with shimmer, the green Chem Fluid, and parts from beasts.
[POTENTIAL SPOILER THEORY] . . . . . . I have a theory that Ekko just stopped time at the end of the episode with the 'Z' Drive. We know the Wild Rune spit out Jayce and a lot of time had passed. I imagine that gave Ekko time to perfect the few seconds (up to a minute) of rewind potential he has. The screen at the end of the episode pauses at the end... not just fades out. I noticed that on the second watchthrough. And in the intro title credits, we see that Ekko's shadow ticking on the floor like a clock, but counter-clockwise, i.e. reversing time. It's gonna be used at some point and I can't think of a another, more perfect time to rewind things. I would think Viktor/Skye are the only ones that are going to know that time was run back and that the "Voice" in the portal he and Skye saw was Ekko coming through it.
I wanna mention something i saw someone post about on reddit; apparently, in that room where Jayce killed Salo, you could always see the characters' breaths (Heimerdinger, Ekko, Jayce). Every single time they talked, there was a chill to their breath to show it was cold. The only character you couldn't see a breath coming from was Salo, which would seem to indicate that he's not really alive. He's just a puppet or something that's mimicking being alive with memories, which is even more tragic. It also makes sense since Viktor himself couldn't feel cold when jayce covered him up.
Viktor's healing includes fusing bodies with machine, so the breath is not a good point. He was alive. It's just clear he takes away their souls maybe? Changes their personalities? No clue since Riot said Arcane is the new canon. So no information we have from Runeterra lore can help us figure out what the hexcore actually is and what direction it's gonna go.
@@fanto860 I agree with your point on this. I've been hesitant to jump on the 'not alive' theory people are throwing around when they could just be cyborgs that are resistant to cold or something similar. The drastic changes in personality could possibly be due to their connection with Viktor (gestalt? hivemind? idk)
@@Zoidberryable still kinda FUCKED UP "oh yeah i cure you but If i die you die with me and i can take Control of your body anytime EVEN If you're dead, sounds Fun right? Right let's Begin." "Wait what-"
Yes being integrated into a hive mind would discard personalities and also would make them impervious to some affects. Being cold is an indicator to the mind, but if you are a part of a vast network with a central core conciousness, then if the core itself was under duress, would the others connected to it feel something... hypothetically.
Seeing vander in pain and literally struggling is the exact same level of emotion when powder was crying after ep3. 2 of the most emotional scenes in all of arcane
I think Skye is the hex stuff trying to manipulate victor and I think the reason vander lost control is because when they left the room it was vander and singed were alone together he probably did sum shit cause the lava stuff coming out from him can only be from singed
My take on what happened with Vander is this: Viktor was using his powers to help bring him back, and in doing so, was infusing his bio metal within Vander (The same metal stuff seen on all the other followers). Singed used some sort of serum to enhance Vander's healing even further and extract some of it for experiments. The healing factor saw the bio metal and tried to burn it out, but since it's a part of his body, it would constantly be healed. Thus, Vander was essentially melting and healing himself constantly, causing molten metal to literally pour from his veins. As much as it hurt to see Isha die, Vander had to be in enormous agony and sadly needed to be put down out of mercy.
Literally not his fault 💀 You Jayce haters are honestly the most braindead and annoying people. - Victor had a cult of dead people, he controlled them like a hive mind and planned on forceful evolution. - Isha went back and did that herself. She wasn't killed, she made her own sacrifice. - Singed injected Warwick with that vile making him crazy again. - Jayce literally went to the future and saw something terrible. So this desperation is justified if what he saw IS that bad (spoiler alert, it is).
@@Crispifordthe3rd515you’re wrong about the victor part lol he didnt control anyone and he didnt raise anyone from the dead im pretty sure these are all just sick , cripples and drug addicts lol like where did you get deceased people from ?🤨 everyone willingly went to him to be healed .. like sure this most likely will lead to bad things but viktor is coming from a good and selfless place (at the moment)
@@fanto860 Regardless of what singed did, Jayce still undid everything that Viktor did for Vander. Vander would've been agitated by blood and we'd have the same outcome because of Jayce.
Yea, if it weren't for the momentary dissonance that Viktor's death caused with those that were connected to him, Vander/Warwick might've been able to react to Singed, who recently woke up, creeping up behind him. Not to mention the fact that this might be what sets Viktor to become more disillusioned with keeping the humanity part in his path to glorious evolution.
also, they used a very important word to explain what was happening with Vander. it was his "psyche". meaning the beast is Vander, Singed experimented on his body and turned him into the beast. Vander's mind (psyche) was just cooked and devoured by the beast's throughout those experiments and the Shimmer he took, and that's what Viktor was trying to heal. He also did in fact die, and Singed brought him back to life as the beast and that also contributed to his psyche being such a mess. In the end, Singed ended up injecting the serum into Vander (Warwick), you see a shot of him standing by the door after Warwick comes out. That's why he was crying lava and what inevitably caused him to fully lose his psyche. It wasn't Viktor's death that caused it because Viktor hadn't fully healed him yet
Some people have suggested that Singed DID manage to inject Vander at the end, and that's what the new dripping-lava stuff was. (And we see Singed standing/conscious in the room Vander broke out of) I had previously just assumed it was a consequence of Victor "dying", but the alternative would make a bit more sense (since no-one else started dripping molten metal after Jayce flipped the off-switch)
Singed didn’t care about warwicks mind, he just wanted to study his blood and body. Victor wanted to save vanders mind so he could come back and live life with his daughters.
I'm in the neutral Jayce faction as well, but I can't help but dip into the anti-Jayce kingdom since his actions have indirectly caused shit to become even more fucked up. (i.e killing that one chembaron's kid, causing Caitlyn to hate the people of Zaun more when they attacked during the memorial, temporarily stunning everyone connected to Viktor which made the recently awoken Singed have an easier time to inject his serum to Vander, and maybe making his "best friend" remove the humanity from everyone he heals)

I think people forgot that viktor saw himself getting killed When doctor said "you need to survive" He responded "do you believe in fate" He knew he was going to die The other thing you guys missed was the coin It landed on the side where there was corrosion due to hextech Same pattern as the leaf one in the first episode
Remember when Jayce told Ekko about the runes? Viktor touched the Hexcore Rune Arcane, Jayce touched the Wild Rune Arcane that formed as a response of their use of the Hexcore. Viktor is serving Order side of Arcane. Jayce is serving Chaos. As much order humanity tries to establish, Arcane responds with Chaos. There is only one thing they can do to stop the inevitable nuclear blast of conflicting magic that Heimerdinger warned them about - stop. Destroy it all. That's what Jayce is trying to do. What Viktor told him originally, Destroy the Hexcore and Hextech.
If Isha didn't do what she did , Vander / Warwick would've literally murked every single person present there, including his daughters because he's pretty much immortal due to Apex shimmer, that's why he was crying cuz he was gonna lose his family once again and it would be his fault.
With warwick losing his sanity, it's possible when Viktor died, he became beast fully, however there's a shot where Singed is standing above warwick so it can also imply he successfully gave him his serum
You guys are wrong, the shot of Singed is way after and it's just him standing there he didn't inject anything, also using a serum that would makes him lose absolute control and kill everyone would be stupid as fuck since his plan is to gain control of him and also have him as a weapon for Ambessa so he can continue to work for her and have plenty of ressources to save his daughter. Viktor died and the vander part of the beast died with him and went rogue, it literally cannot be more clear than this we see everyone dying and then the beast scream. They cannot give us the reason more clearly than having a narrator say it for us lol.
Cait switching up makes sense. She was already rethinking ambessa's ideals. Back when maddie was questioning the violence, and then rictus was explicitly called out by cait for trying to cause a riot. Then ambessa tried to recruit singed when cait specifically said he would be locked up, but she did it anyways.

They should have made this clearer instead of a 2s scene. Hopefully it's more obvious next act
At least she was suspecting ambessa before
What I feel with Isha is that she fully understood what she was doing.

Eh skye's dead. The hexcore is using her persona to manipulate Victor
It could be either way tbh
@@fanto860 considering what we’ve seen, that’s unlikely. Otherwise “Sky” would want to exploit Vander to get more power. She clearly serves as a moral compass for Victor which now most likely is gone after Jayce made a hole in Victor’s body.
Hopping from that kendrick album straight to peak arcane reactions. My Friday is set
Luther is 🔥
Viktor was making significant progress with Vander. The Noxians tried using blood to lure Vander out, but he resisted.
Jayce saw the Future and said: "Nah i'd impeach"
The Doc injected Vander while everyone was outside, GGs
I totally missed this. No wonder his reaction was different to the other people Viktor had healed.
"oh you saved me, that's great, hands behind your back"
I fear Jayce is geting crazy over a self-fulfilling vision, his actions are what jump starts everything.
That's what I've been thinking too
that's my thought process too like I think Viktor would've been OK but now it seems like Jayce killed the humanity in him & now he'll want to get rid of it to "help" people 😬
I don't know, I feel like he might be the only one (besides Heimer and Ekko) who sees the threat of the Arcane or at least whatever Viktor is tampering with. Just my thoughts.
salo wasn't breathing in the hextech room while heimer jayce ekko all visibly were, probably not alive
Your pfp is crazy
Killing Viktor might not have fixed everything but it was probably damage control.
end ekko was the one who brought them to the future and past. Walk with me!
Bruh saw the Watchers and tried to revert that catastrophe.
Jayce really loved Viktor as a friend. We’ve seen him trying to help or save him numerous times before. For him to Want to kill Victor, truly means that he’s seen something crazy. Cause the old Jayce would NEVER purposefully hurt his friend like that.

If I'm not mistaken, Vander became Warwick again because Singed used his invention after Viktor got donuted.
I was thinking that, must be why he was glowing orange
You are correct, Singed/Dr. Reveck was standing with the vial in his hands. The only problem was that with Viktor currently dying, everyone who is connected to him is experiencing it, so Vander/Warwick was preoccupied. First, it was 100% a deliberate decision that Cait wiped the spit right towards her mouth. Second, Jayce out here menacingly lurking with his new found schizophrenia.

Kudos I have to rewatch now.
the editor slipping in the “viktor’s dying” right after roshi saying ‘imma let jayce cooked’ is HILARIOUS
Right let's Begin."

I just remembered in season 1 when both Jayce and Viktor tried to off themeselves the SAME way. But BOTH ended up saving one another.
How ironic that one of the brightest and most beautifully colorful shows of all time is also one of the darkest, most heartbreaking shows ever made.
That’s most league of legends lore imo. So happy moments ruined by catastrophe. I’d honestly argue arcane is tame compared to some other stuff
Arcane ain't too colorful
How you explain things is unmatched!
"Knowledge is a paradox. The more one understands, the more one realizes the vastness of his ignorance." Awesome line
You know, Jayce really has a unique talent for making everything worse. It's honestly impressive.
It's singed's fault not jayce's
21:30 she got absorbed by it... while victor became one with the arcane, which would make sense she is there.
also, they used a very important word to explain what was happening with Vander. it was his "psyche". meaning the beast is Vander, Singed experimented on his body and turned him into the beast.

I had previously just assumed it was a consequence of Victor "dying", but the alternative would make a bit more sense (since no-one else started dripping molten metal after Jayce flipped the off-switch)
Singed didn’t care about warwicks mind, he just wanted to study his blood and body. Victor wanted to save vanders mind so he could come back and live life with his daughters.

The Arcane ABSORBED SKY, and Viktor ABSORBED the Arcane and thus Sky along with it.

With warwick losing his sanity, it's possible when Viktor died, he became beast fully, however there's a shot where Singed is standing above warwick so it can also imply he successfully gave him his serum
Thats's precisely what happened. It's singed's fault

She was a lone person, a lone leader, trying to go with the flow, waiting for the right time.
Exactly this... she was using Ambessa as a means to an end.
