Matpat: "Crew mates are small human" Game graphic: "Crew mates dead bodies shows one single bone with jointed end surrounded by completely formed meat"
@Jdjdjdjrhfhdeh Djdjxididdfgg Hahaha yeah, maybe. It makes a good meme, though. Also, if they are in the same universe as Henry Stickmin, the inside of that space suit should look more like stickmen.
The imposters can't shape shift, the "Thing" never used vents, the "Thing" couldn't control any systems of the research facility like doors, oxygen, reactors remotely, there was a way to test whether someone was the thing through gasoline, no such thing in game, and they never all got together to vote off someone that they suspected was the "Thing". I mean if MatPat said the game was like the movie "Aliens" because people are trapped on a ship being killed by an alien using the vent systems, then it would be pretty much the same.
I have a theory for the kill countdown. Wonder why in the kill animation they only kill the crewmate with a stabing method but when you look at the body the tophalf of they're body is gone? Maybe the imposter EATS the tophalf of they're body. And they're still digesting the body. Thats why theres a kill cooldown. But thats just a theory a GAME THEORY!

For everyone that said how there’s only one bone in their body it actually makes sense because the Henry stickman universe is the same which most likely means that the crew mates are actually stickmen in space suits.

Then there’s something about the snowmen cut in half with the other snowmen around it? I can’t really remember, just wanted to share.

“There is a greater story being told here” like what? How orange and green are married and their child is cyan? You can see the pic while doing card swipe task
Among Us probably has normal ghosts but with the 'Unfinished Business' trope, which is why ghosts crewmates can still do tasks, and impostor ones can sabotage
In light of the new Hide n Seek gamemode, I think this further proves why Crewmates can't enter vents in normal but can in this one They can enter the vent, but can't get beyond the opening without getting a bit too cramped, while an Imposter can simply wiggle or, more horrifyingly, crush and deform the host's body in order to fit, Santana style
Unless you dint watch the vid through, mat sais in order for Polus and HQ go be infected the cannon ending for the first map (spaceship) was that everyone finished their task, not voting out the imposter.
"Because there is a greater story being told here, and let me warn you, it's not a pretty one." *Flashbacks to every heart wrenching comic about the baby crewmates and tear jerker stories* Bring it
Maybe the purpose of the crewmates winning isn’t to ensure they survive, but to ensure their research gets to their intended destination. Perhaps the ship is carrying research data that can help deal with the alien parasites. Finishing all the tasks or getting rid of all the imposters ensure that the research data gets delivered on time. Whether or not the crew survives is secondary to whether or not the data gets salvaged. That’s why even if you’re killed, you still win if the survivors are able to get home. On the other hand, if you’re an imposter, you win if you can prevent the data from reaching its destination, thereby protecting your parasitic species.
So technically if the imposters win a game, they are losing because they are now the only ones on the ship and cannot move on to infect the other areas?
The opening of this episode is literally every horror movie ever. Red tells blue to move but he just stands there, waiting for the imposter to come to him.
And how he's able to be a criminal work for the government escape prison (2 times) be the leader of a gang and yet be so lovable even though he's only a stickman that's last name is stickmin
Matpat:“The imposters can fit in the vents unlike the crew mates ” Me: then why tf would there be vents on the ship Matpat: shows air conditioning animation Me: oh ok
Air circulation, duh. The same reason your house or school has vents. Unless you live in a third world country or just somewhere without air circulation?
@@EzekiesAcheron I might be completely wrong about this, but I thought the function of vents was to keep air circulating from outside. And if that's the case, then why are there ventilation shafts ON A SPACESHIP?
i like the theory I’ve heard of once where the crew mates invaded the imposters ship/home so the imposters had to kill them off, this explains why the imposters can navigate the vents and can cut the o2/lights without any concerns
Alternate theory: They are the last remaining survivors of a species that spanned the stars after they were overun by deadly parasitic shapeshifters. The lobby in among us contains the last surviving humans
I have a few Improvements/ things I would change The virus started out somewhere in the galaxy but was either transported to Polus or found there where it would be studied. It was studied in the specimen room, located in the bottom right of the map, far away from any other crewmate or task. The specimen room is surrounded by two decontamination rooms (this can be seen as a labeled room in Mira HQ) so the imposter virus could not escape. Assuming this game is based of “The Thing”, it would make sense for it to start in a snowy map as seen in “The Thing”. The specimen room has narrow windows and no vents making it hard for the virus to escape. The virus can also be seen in two green tubes, two purple tubes and a blue tube in the middle. It is clear these thing are living and are likely the imposter virus. Somehow, probably through faulty decontamination, the imposter virus escaped the lab. This is where it started going on a rampage and killing crew members who escaped on the escape ship that players start in “as the lobby” or as in the beginning of the Polus map. It can be noted that crew members likely started on The Skeld and moved using this pod to Polus where they studied it and brought it back onto The Skeld by mistake. Info was learned about the imposters through Polus so it wasn’t a complete fail. As crew members escaped with the Dropship, this is where we enter map #2. The Skeld. The Skeld is a spacecraft ship ment to hold crew members as they transport between planets. The Skeld is a large space craft powered by two engines in the back fulled by a reactor. The Skeld has a weapon similar to Polus however Polus weapon room was likely Anti Aircraft. This shows there is conflict in this universe. The Skeld also has “shields”, a room likely ment to protect the ship as it flies through space. This is where crew members found out they had the imposter virus on the ship and tried to dispose of it before entering Mira HQ. Not much goes on at the Skeld as it is a transportation method for crew members. It must be noted that there is no obvious escape to the Skeld for a drop ship however imposters made it out so it might be the task in lower storage. Now we go to crew members homelands, Mira HQ. Mira HQ is likely where our crew members work or it’s where they get used to earths gravity again (assuming they are on earth). It’s a lab that’s more complex then Polus with higher tech equipment. It’s reactor and lab are past a large decontamination room which proves that the imposter virus if infected onto a imposter can not be removed by decontamination. It has a launchpad room where the drop ship lands and launches from. Mira HQ is in the sky so it’s hard to tell if it’s floating, flying or just really high up. This is the first sign of imposter virus on home planets and shows that this virus is not going away easily. However our crew members continue onto the most confusing map, The Airship. The Airship has clear lore related to Henry Stickman however I’m not diving into that as for thats a whole different book of lore. It seems empty so either the population has evacuated the planet or everyone died (or they left for a lore reason) In conclusion the imposter virus seems to spread easily and is hard to contain, originally being from Polus or brought to it for research. It’s also possible that it killed all of the planets which is why it’s so empty but hey, that’s just a theory. A GAME THEORY. AND CUT.
You should do another theory about actually looking deeper into the maps themselves, other than the snowmen outside in polus. You could also point out that they have a “Specimen Lab” with a bunch of broken vials. It could be possible that they found a way to isolate the parasite and test it to find a cure but it ended up escaping and killing them. Or maybe the parasite originated in that lab on Polus and they went there to explore it further and find a way to get rid of the parasite. Based on the broken vials and a place called “specimen lab” it’s possible the outbreak came there before the crewmates landed.
While the whole "they are just short astronauts theory" is fine, has no one considered that they might all be children? Would make the lore even darker but it kind of fits.
What if the space station got taken over by aliens, and the lobby in among us is actually the children's life support pod, and that's why it's so in need of repairs.
“Stop milking this” Dudes, this is the guy who has done uncounted Five Nights at Freddy’s videos, two or three vids is restraint Btw, The Thing is based on the same source as The Thing from Another World
About the whole among us characters are humans thing, are we not gonna talk about how humans have 206 bones (i think) whilst the among us characters only have one? Also their flesh seem like the same bright colours as their spacesuits so we also gotta explain that.
It might be not one bone, they still must have the rest but that bone is their spinal cord after getting their head cut off. Just that their spinal cord is really compact from space and the rest of their bones are not showing
I've got a similar theory: Polus: The first map (not really), The crewmates discover a parsite they assume to be dead. They go back on to the skeld and bring the impostor with them The skeld: The crewmates discover the first body, and soon realize what is happening. They decide to continue back to mira hq, their home. Mira: The end, the impostor devours the last surviving crewmate
On mira hq you got a task preparing a turtle shaped ship like the skeld and the waiting room being made and then on polus has the waiting room there fully made
Continuation theory: Since the Among Us easter egg in Henry Stickman said "See something, say something", this could imply that the Alien Parasite has already reached the Planet Earth. Those aren't posters advertising a game, those were posters telling people to reveal information. The events of Among Us didn't happen in the future, it happens during Henry's time (the modern time). Some company has probably obtained deep-spacespace travel already, because leaving the atmosphere seems more like an expensive project than something only the government can do guessing on how the Top Hat Clan built a space station and mass-transported their members so easily, probably have been easier if it weren't for the government. But I'm pretty sure they'll be fine. Henry can use the Distraction Dance to distract them long enough to push them out of airlocks, or use his Spirit "Reference" to beat the poo out of them.
I doubt these ppl know about the infection, it probably started spreading from them, it prob originated from polus, then it infected their home base, (mira hq) and they had to flee to the skeld.
There is also a kill condition with the reactor getting destroyed, then its most likely it explodes/self destructs, destroying the ship throwing everyone out
the voice chat lobbies aren't, they're more like the one shown in this video, there are discord servers available, search in facebook for among us groups and you'll find one with VC options to get this experience of the game
As soon as I heard “Parasite” I wondered off, thinking How good of a movie “The Thing” is.Well slap on the knee.Good to know I’m not the only one who thought of that.

@@clh2533 maybe just that there's a remote-controlled sabotaging thing in the sabotage-able things, and that the imposters have a chip or something under their spacesuit to TRIGGER the sabotage?
@@clh2533 , the sabotage mechanic isn't that weird. At my job in real life, we have systems that can be accessed remotely to do certain things on them. However, if, while accessing remotely, you do something to make the system go down, you then have to physically go to the system to get it working again. So, for the game, all crew members (including imposters) have remote access to these systems, and imposters are using that remote access to shut the systems down in a way that remote access won't fix.
Only Canon Win Condition: Let the imposters sabotage the nuclear reactor so that the ship would just explode killing everyone everyone in it, specially the *imposters*.
Fun little Among us/Henry Stickman fact: When you do the task “Garbage disposal” on the first map, almost all the time, you can see the Dimond and Teleportation Device from Henry Stickman before you pull the lever. There ya go! :D
To the people saying that why do the crewmates have only one big bone Imagine watching the entire nervous, circulatory, skeletal system fall on the floor after a crewmate is killed
They could be stick people like Henry but Prob not I would also like to note that Henry is 110 lb 6 ft at 28 years old as seen in fleeing the complex trailer (the original one)
MatPat: "So, it's Among Us, with the added wrinkle that the killer can now pose as the victim they just killed. Which is actually a really cool wrinkle that they should try adding into the game!" Innersloth: Adds in Shapeshifter role HE PREDICTED IT!!!
someone else did a theory on why the crew-mates aren't human, some key points in it were that they never take off their spacesuit even when not necessary and on the scanner it shows the colour of their suit and why would it do that if it was just a spacesuit, plus, they only have one bone straight in the middle of their body. so they theorised that it is something similar to humans in terms of the way they breath and have heartbeats but are definitely not human because their spacesuit is actually their skin and they only have one bone. Edit: found the theory again and another point is that the glass covering their eyes doesn’t shatter like glasses normally would, it just cracks, so it may be a harder part of their body made of a different substance (kinda like cartilage vs bone for us if that makes sense) and it acts as their eyes, this would explain why we cant see their eyes/faces through the visor/glasses/helmet thing.
@@ayamedayoYeah, that's true, but I have a theory on why engineers can vent even when not as imposters. Like MatPat, said, the imposter shapeshifts it's way through the vents. Obviously regular crew can't do that. But the name of the role "Engineer" probably makes it self explanatory. The engineer can open the vents to go through them. The cooldown might be so that their tools don't get overwhelmed and break (those are very weak tools). Yes, I know I'm 1 year late
fun fact: this game is based on a lesser known game called "Space Station 13", which, as lore has it, is the unluckiest space station around. syndicate traitors, shape-shifting parasites, murderous clowns, and more are among the threats. Crew members are actually largely disposable clones who think they're actual "persons", but are entirely the property of the parent company operating the stations. Eventually crew members begin to suspect if the whole thing isn't just some over-blown experiment in human failure...
I love the shape-shifting imposter on the game meaning u get to frame the crewmates and trick others into turning on each other while the imposter get away with it as long as u insure everyone seen u before I shifted in a out of the way spot
One theory I saw: Mira Hq is on earth while the skeld was being prepared, The skeld is when they leave for Polus and encounter the alien, and the lobby is the drop ship that lands on Polus.
It wouldn't make sense for Polus to be the first map in which you encounter the alien, because how is it supposed to be in the skeld and in mira hq then?

This is a really good theory

The virus started out somewhere in the galaxy but was either transported to Polus or found there where it would be studied.
Now we go to crew members homelands,
Mira HQ. However our crew members continue onto the most confusing map,
The Airship. The Airship has clear lore related to Henry Stickman however I’m not diving into that as for thats a whole different book of lore. It seems empty so either the population has evacuated the planet or everyone died (or they left for a lore reason)
In conclusion the imposter virus seems to spread easily and is hard to contain, originally being from Polus or brought to it for research.

Polus: The first map (not really), The crewmates discover a parsite they assume to be dead. They go back on to the skeld and bring the impostor with them

Continuation theory:
Since the Among Us easter egg in Henry Stickman said "See something, say something", this could imply that the Alien Parasite has already reached the Planet Earth.

The remaining impostors on the Skeld attacked the abandoned Crewmates. In a last ditch effort, the abandoned Crewmates flies the Skeld into a solar system with 8 planets and a G-type main-sequence star. They then crash land on a snowy continent on a strange planet, however, all the crewmates died in the crash, and the remaining imposter freezes into a block of ice. 100,000 years later, a Norwegian research team finds the ruined Skeld and a frozen impostor.

Me: whut
You should make that theory with Henry. I loved those games growing up.
YES BUDDY; YOURE MILKING IT.
It's really outright embarassing how you genuinly make
fun of someone saying this out loud.

Did anyone notice how at the beginning a crewmate vents in front of everyone?
Yeah I think that was supposed to be a joke...

Hi Turk.
I loved this video let him DO IT!!
Matpat predicted the shapeshifter 😂😂😂
Mat Pat: they are humans
Among us characters: *has giant bone through the center of it's body*
it's their spine.
Plus they could be genetically altered for that to reduce the mass
@@Augie_Froggie that’s just thin and they don’t have like ribs but that’s just because they won’t waste their time trying to make a cylinder short humans death look realistic
Laughs in spine
If you remember Wall-E, they had quite a loss of bone mass due to low gravity (and their own laziness). It's not too much of a stretch to believe that the remaining bones eventually combined into one central spine.
Matt: Among Us crew are people
Me: Then why do they only have one bone?
Matt: Among Us and Stickman are same universe
Me: Ah. Stick people in the suits hence the one bone.
yeah, I don't think their the same universe, I just think their Easter eggs.
yup, definitely stickmen
Walk in like a stickman
@@NotlostMoon Hmm.. the planet named after the guy seems pretty "same universey" to me.. but could just be an easter egg.
Is their anatomy canon though? Or just fanbased?
devs: trying to make an interesting game
mat: LOREEEEEEEEE
Lol
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEE
Worked for Minecraft!
Well the devs had some little backstory to the game
Yeah because every good game has a lore
