    As an artist, coming from an iPad Pro user to a Tab S9 Ultra, the drawing experience is amazing. The screen is gorgeous and you have so much space to fit all of the tool palettes and still have a big space for your canvas. Also have so many pen options! Im glad i made the switch.

    The 11" iPad is in fact NOT 4:3 in aspect ratio. Only the 12.9 or 13 inch version is. The 11" is 10:7 which started in 2018. The current iPad mini (2021) is 3:2. All iPads used to have 4:3 back in the days, but atm there are at least 3 different aspect ratios in the lineup.

    • @luxel3365
      @luxel3365 5 месяцев назад +2

      Yep. 4:3 is like 1.333, but The very M4 11 inch shown here is actually like 1.452. So it's thinner than the 4:3 of the original iPad.
      For reference, the S9, S9+ and Ultra all have 16:10, so 1.6.

    Samsung is amazing actually. I remember when Dex was first announced, I immediately said I'm never going to use that. Now, I use it everyday. When I was overseas for 8 months and working from a hotel with terrible internet service, I used my phone data and the apps on my phone to work through my PC. It was a lifesaver. At home now, I'm still using Dex every single day. Samsung has some features that make it so that I can't even use a different Android device. It has to be Samsung at this point.

I did the work on my laptop, then sent the files using my the email client on my phone, and using my phone's data. Before that happened, I thought I would never use Dex. Even now, I still use it sometimes when my home internet is not working. On a separate monitor, it's not super smooth but it is really powerful anyway.

    I guess my next one will be a Samsung. I've used iPads for a while but the Apple Pencil is pretty fragile (I'm on my third), the file system and sharing on iOS is super annoying & restricting and I don't like it that I can't backup the iPad to a different cloud storage provider / NAS. I also prefer the aspect ratio of the iPad, but that's probably the only thing at the moment.

    • @teohontech7141
      @teohontech7141  6 месяцев назад +2

      The big problem with Android backup is not everything is backed up UNLESS you check. iPad can backup to computer, just not to NAS.

    • @Leif_YT
      @Leif_YT 6 месяцев назад

      @@teohontech7141 last time I had to restore an iPad backup my pro create files were missing. Backing up to a computer can be very annoying on iPad because can't do it wireless and automated. I wish we could have apps like on Android where selected folders get automatically backed up to a network share , but I think iOS doesn't allow such apps because of it's very restricted file system. At least I couldn't find any that would do it.
      An annoying part of automated iOS iCloud backups is also that we can't access them through a browser or so. We can restore it in to amother device, but not access the backup to restore a file from it.
      You also can't do a partial restore. Like if you delete / reinstall an app the iCloud backup won't give you the data for just that app back in many cases. Then you can only do a full restore which you might not want.
      It's sadly super limited what iCloud backup offers in functionality / accessibility compared to some other solutions.

    • @teohontech7141
      @teohontech7141  6 месяцев назад +2

      My guess as to why your file is missing is because that file wasn't backed up in the first place.
      Wireless backup to a computer will be painfully slow. And Apple devices don't have the best wireless connection so there is high chance of wireless backup having problems. I mean I already have frequent problems sending video files wirelessly to my Mac.
      iCloud backup is a system backup and not a files+folder backup. That's why there is no access to individual files and folders online.
      I use iCloud together with Microsoft OneDrive for access to files+folders.

    I draw in landscape, so the Ultra is so much better than the boxy ipad. The bezels on the Ultra are much smaller than the thick ipad bezels.
    I don't like anti reflective coating on electronics, it down grades color quality.

      Ultra is physically bigger which is why 16:9 is still usable. S9+ is not as usable even though it is 16:9 especially in vertical orientation. Because some apps have fixed size UI that will take up more space on a smaller display

    • @HipposHateWater
      @HipposHateWater 6 месяцев назад

      Agreed in the context of using it as a dedicated landscape mode device. That said, 4:3 plays better if you want a device that's more orientation agnostic. (iPad lineup, Surface Pro, etc) It's a "pick your poison" sort of thing for sure.
      (For example I'm happy with my 12.9" iPad as it is in ProCreate, but not in CSP. I'd definitely prefer the additional 2ish inches of horizontal screen real estate with the Ultras just to accommodate CSP's infamous UI clutter if I was using it purely as a desktop CSP drawing tablet.)

    Hey there! I have a question, for uni. and watching movie-shows yt etc. Which one should i buy; ipad air m2 11" or ipad pro m2 11" (all of them with pencil tho) ? In my country the ipad pro m2 11" is 5k more than new ipad air so which one is better for long term? New ipad is 2 years younger and it will be get more updated that's the two reason im stuck with it: m2 pro price and update stuff... 🤷🏻‍♀️ and also is it big enough 11"? I want to buy the 13" but the price diff is literally 10k its so much tho. I would like to state that the iPad I bought can be updated for at least 6-7 years and that I want to use it for a very long time without lag or other problems.

Yes the Samsung comes with an spen though. But support and longevity is another question. I feel that for art and multitasking, media consumption the aspect ratio is better on all three sizes of the tab s9 series.

    On Android, there are more options for backup because you can just get a back up software from the google store and use it to back up precisely the things you want to back up rather than backing up the entire tablet. I use DriveSync which can back up to my cloud storage of choice. I back up to Google Drive specific folders on my tablet, not the whole tablet which is pointless. It backs up my phone and tablet to Google Drive, which is also synced to my PC. It's like a perfect solution. When I had an iPad Pro, it was terrible. Either you back up the entire tablet to iCloud, which I don't even have an account, or you buy a 3rd party back which has almost no access to the iOS system. This is still the worst thing about the iPad. iOS itself. File management is awful.

    • @teohontech7141

      The thing about selective backup is you must know in advance where your files are saved. Some apps let you save to the cloud (great so no backup required), some save to the file folders, some save into the Android data folder (Infinite Painter).

The s9, I can split the window by half and both is usable while the iPad I have to split 2/3 and 1/3, never half half was the right portion. I prefer grabbing the s9 more because it’s more versatile. it can multitask as a laptop in a pinch while the iPad try to reinvent what is already established and make you jump through hoop to do the same thing but I digress. I have a 70 in tv at home but since I’m alway mobile, so yes I watch movies RUclips and social media on the s9, I vastly enjoy the experience more than the iPad because of the 16 by 9. comparing to the 2 huge black bars on the iPad, yea talk about wasted space.
      Tho I have to agree, different ppl have different use case, I’m replying on a artist channel while I’m not one

      OMG, I just saw the Wacom Movink design and they have a thick black bezel below to make it feel like 16:10 when it is actually 16:9.
