I almost do. The pointless lie/"forgot what I said" part about the 15k-30k payment is strange. Plus, being a huge gun and ballistics guy, a lot of what he's saying about the guns are true, except how he explains the said cartridge being used. Most of what he said about the 221 fireball cartridge is widely exaggerated, and having a friend who makes him "special bullets" or "mercury rounds" is where he lost me. I’m 100% convinced this gentleman is telling the truth as he knows it. He speaks of minor details describing the event and atmosphere that are not important to his testimony. Everyone is entitled to believe what you want, this is legitimate IMO.

If you want to know what really happened to make "things come out"... and by "things" I of course mean bullshit and lies... it was most likely noted crackpot Oliver Stone's very popular but very stupid 1991 film JFK... that film came out in 1991... this guy probably got a copy on VHS while in prison in 1992 or 1993... then first lied about being the mythological shooter on the grassy knoll in 1994. No big mystery here. The FBI investigated the claims, determined that they were horseshit, and so the man wasn't charged with assassinating a president as he would have been if there was even a shred of evidence to back up his fabulist fantasies. It's not illegal to lie, though... so... guy decided he liked the attention... and continues to lie to get more of it.
That is no evidence at all. If the guy knew someone who knew someone who knew and he overhead some details here and there he had enough to do weave a tale.
He's not stumbling over the answers or hesitating before he answers them, he answers quickly and precisely. And he doesn't look nervous at all. he seems quite sure of himself and confident like someone who knows what he is talking about. seems credible to me.

I have read countless books on this subject and attendend a lecture by Robert J Groden who wrote "High Treason" about the assassination as well as reopening the House Assassination Committee. He mentions many of the same people that Files does. Another Mafia connected guy also said what Files said that the assassination was supposed to be called off, but someone pushed ahead with it any ways. Either this guy knows the key players and was involved or he has a photographic memory and has studied everything about this case. I find him to be one of the more fascinating persons regarding this case.
Watch Danny Jones podcast with Felix Rodriguez. According to him the second shooter was a sniper from the Cuban military and was in Dallas that day. Felix Rodriguez is ex CIA that is known for a bunch of crazy stuff. Some good and some pretty terrible.

35 years of psychology here, the hardest thing to tell when doing body and characteristic movements is, "memorizing a script" and "memory" are both pulled from the same cognitive zone. depending on how good someone is at acting out a part, they can literally emulate every single symptom and trait of someone telling the complete truth. This guys normal demeanor is that of a poker player, so he's also the perfect subject to use for an operation which might involve a coverup or snow job. The people who do this aren't stupid! And the people they choose are extremely talented in the areas of deception and lying. One of my catches here is, this guy recalls the story just a little too good. Just a little too fluid. Now, that could be he's a very detailed individual with a great memory recall, or it could be that he's practiced this information over a long standing period of time and can lay it out in such a way where it sounds truthful and from experience... My second catch is the tilted head to the left during the entire interview. But it seems like during certain questions, he tilts it much further than other times... This can be a sign of deception, or a subconscious effort to create distance between you and the person you're attempting to deceive. It can also mean you're fatigued or the subject matter and the having to deceive is taxing and so tilted head is a sign. I watched really close to see if the head tilt got worse with tougher questions and it did. So I think there is something there.... Direct confrontation is the emotion one feels when they're purposefully trying to mislead someone. I just feel like there is an act of deception here. Honestly, I know there's a LOT of information about JFK's assassination that the world doesn't know, and I have a feeling when it finally comes to light, it will be a SHOCKER/BARN BURNER!! So I was keeping a very open mind here, trying to allow the information to lay over what I already know, to see if anything clicked... Here's what I will say... IF this guy is not the person who did it, you can bet at least one thing FOR DAMN SURE... He KNOWS the people who did! I'm not trained in any body language analysis or things like that but I am a people watcher if you will and have been from a very young age. I was 7 years old when President Kennedy was assassinated and I do remember my mother having to come down to the school to get me to bring me home as they released all the kids early that day. They never told us why but when I got home I remember sitting in front of the TV with my Mum and watching History unfold. The only other moment in History that comes to my mind as being so vivid and affecting my life as much as this would be the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969. I will probably watch this one or two more times but no matter what conclusion I come to I find this an intriguing and fascinating video and love reading the comments. The one thing that I feel very certain of is that, just like Jack the Ripper, this is one piece of History for which we will never know 100% of the truth.

This is chilling! I was only 5 years old, but I remember that day and was terrified when we were sent home early from school and people were crying. I could not sleep for days. I even read "Death of A President" in high school for a book report. Files answered every question without stuttering, but when he mentioned Jack Ruby before his name even entered the questioning, that really got my attention and explained the reason for his death as well.
I was 7, and remember being sent home at 2:10 - and the following day watching tv when Oswald was shot. No one i know bought the Warren commission report.
I remember that day, I was at work and we had the radio on and all of a sudden the news came out and said President Kennedy had been shot down in Texas. Everyone was stunned and people starting crying and we didn't know what happened because President Kennedy was taken to the hospital. It was the worst day and people started crying. We didn't find out he was dead until hours later. He was the first President I ever voted for, people of my age back then loved JFK he was young, he was a Catholic which most of us were, and I have never ever forgotten that day. Later we found out he died and we cried.

You have endless time to rehearse your story when you're in prison. One problem: trajectory. JFK wasn't shot in the side of his head- he was shot from the front. That's why the back of his head was blown out.
This could go down as one of the most important confession testimonies in history BUT we need a real investigation to make sure his story is credible especially as there's plenty of others who have claimed to be the shooter too.
There have been two separate investigations already, one by the FBI and another by renowned private detective Jules Krull. Both have determined Files to not be credible.
My Father was investigator for a major city homicide and armed robbery divisions he did extensive training to spot someone lying. He watched this before he died and said he is the greatest liar that he ever seen. He showed absolutely no signs of being untruthful. Absolutely no signs in his face. You can’t see his body but it don’t appear any movements from body. For him to be this detailed without something to refer to he would have to had rehearse this extensively for a year everyday there are too many details now my dad said he’s possible a distraction for the truth but he would be the greatest most rehearsed liar in the history of modern day crimes .!He also added that it wouldn’t be far fetched for that to be possible considering the severity of this crims

You must have missed it. They were going to give him 15 up front, he refused, saying the 15 which was still a lot of money at the time, wouldn't have been significant to him. He went along with it for free. It wasn't until, a good amount of time went by, when Nicoletti gave him the full 30, stating it was for the Dallas job.
Fascinating interview, but I'm disappointed that the 2nd most important question (maybe the 1st) was not explored. Why would the mob want JFK killed? It was RFK who was doggedly pursuing the mob. Killing JFK would only make RFK more relentless in his pursuit of the mob. If the hit was orchestrated by the CIA, who were seriously in the business of assassination at that time, would they really need the help of the mob? The way he describes the shots, its exactly how it appears in the Zapruder footage. Kennedy's head jerks slightly forward suggesting a shot from behind less than a second before his head violently jerks back and almost explodes, suggesting a close range frontal shot.

I watched a number of interviews with James Files a while back and found him convincing for a while. He mentioned he had been in Vietnam in one interview and was asked if had he met Colonel Fletcher Prouty? He said he had and described him as "a great soldier." Colonel Prouty began as a cavalryman but quickly transferred to the Army Air Corps and was a pilot for years. At the time Files may have been in Indo China, Colonel Prouty was working in the Pentagon doing logistics and other secretive things- he was never a combat soldier as he was in USAF. This one comment suggested to me that Files could be making things up- although he clearly knows about weaponry, bullets and the anatomy of hits and assassinations.

I know that Files mentions being in Laos- doing training when there were very few US personnel there- late 50s. Col Prouty has mentioned being in Vietnam with Ed Lansdale and buying a gift for one of the Diem brothers for him. Now it appears that Lansdale was in Saigon from 1954 to 1957- so that is before James Files was in Laos and Prouty has mentioned flying over Vietnam- north and south without concerns of being shot down. It is possible that Files and Prouty met but Prouty's skills were not those of a soldier which is why I questioned the response Files made. That alone does not mean his narrative is to be disbelieved but it got me wondering and I think that being a bit forensic about things is good- in all walks of life not just in the world of the Kennedy assassination. In The Zapruder film, one can clearly see that President Kennedy was struck in the front right side temple as allegedly Oswald shot him in the back of the head. All bystanders said the last 2 shots came close together as BAM BAM BAM. The last 2 shots were both the head shots. In William Manchester's book, "The Day Kennedy Was Shot," President Kennedy's head exploded and spewing large gushes of blood and brains spurted out of his head soaking Jackie Kennedy and the seat and walls of the interior of the Limousine and kept largely gushing like a fountain until his blood pressure dropped to zero. President Kennedy was dead almost instantly. He was gurgling and his mouth was rapidly moving right after he was struck. His eyes were both open very wide and fixed as he bled to death with his head on his wife's lap. Horrid to see as SS agent Clint Hill saw as he climbed on the back of the limousine to shield everyone. President Kennedy's head was half blown open as brain chunks and rapidly flowing blood flooded the back seat and the floor of the limousine. as well the motor bike police windshields, and the suits of the driver Bill Greer and Roy Kellerman as well as spewing all over Clint Hill as he jumped on the speeding up Limousine. I do not attempt to be gory, but this is what truly happened.

Project Hot Foot was a secret deployment of Army Special Forces teams to train Laotian forces from 1955 thru 1962. Files said he was assigned to the 82nd Airborne. He would have been at Bragg along with the Army Special Ops forces used in Project Hot Foot. He never said the 82nd was deployed. That could NOT be kept secret. However, he could have easily been attached to the Special Forces teams to fill a needed skill set. What gives me pause is that Files was born in 1942, making him 18 y.o. in 1959; essentially a “green” PFC. Hard to believe he would have attached at that age.

Awe, Jack Ruby! I found out about 11 years ago that my Uncle on my mother's side was a close friend to Ruby. That told me why my mother didn't want to be there in case something happened and would not let me see the President coming from Down Town.We pulled out just ahead of them and there were 5 Semi type shots that I remember hearing. But years later I did the research and found 6-bullet's fired. And Files was carring a briefcase.

I was in Dealey Plaza approximately 2 years ago. The distance from the wall at the grassy knoll is ridiculously close, less than 50 yards. I was amazed that the news accounts of the assassination made it sound like an impossible shot, far from it. The shot from the 6th floor or the surrounding areas were not unusual. The fact that the motorcade drove at a low speed through this turn is one of the most glaring examples that this was arranged by the highest level of our own government, JFK wanted to get out of Vietnam, war is profitable. I've seen him on TV before and here on RUclips confessing. He's been saying this for a while now. Not sure why they're bringing it back up. He had information no one knew until the JFK files came out just recently. All his account can be corroborated with those files. I believe him.

You move your way up when you make a name for yourself. Afterwards he started doing "jobs" for them. All of it is in the JFK files and can be corroborated. The positioning, the gun style/type, he knew who was on top of the "grassy knoll". The cop that was up there talking to two people was corroborated in the JFK files. He walked right past him with a briefcase. He's says the EXACT same thing in another interview. The information is too fluid, too fast to be "made up". Two interviews. Both exactly the same. No one would know all those details of the exact same thing in both without messing up your story at least once. He doesn't mess up. It was him.
This man may have taken a shot but the bullet that killed JFK came from the front and through the windscreen of the car and this shooter was like a military sniper marksman. I believe there were a lot of people with rifles in the ambush. It's a miracle only one man was killed.
I always thought that too... because bullets follow straight lines... if JFK was hit in the right temple from the right the bullet would have exited out the left rear of the head. But the huge exit wound is in the right rear. That means a bullet from the knoll would have entered JFK's temple and then made a right 90 turn. But If hit from the front, the bullet would have gone in the tight side and exited on the right side.
It literally struck him in the temple, just as this guy said. I am not saying for sure this is the guy, but there is no doubt where the head shot came from.

I have 20+ years of mental health experience. And I fancy myself as being perceptive in reading people thru work and a natural gift. This man’s details tell me he’s been well trained. He also has extensive training in not missing details. This is high level training. Even that he’s working in accordance with some government agency he has been trained With the best we have in intelligence agencies. The 26:10 mark he makes mention to another event he was involved in. We all know about all the assassinations in the 60s so I’d venture to say he probably was involved with another assassination in the 60s
He is very anxious and has pressured speech. His presentation of information suggests it was rehearsed, but he is very bright. What did he get for this interview? Where is the FBI or, for that matter, any law enforcement? There is no way they wouldn't know about this "public" interview! I think he is on medication for a mood disorder. He says in the interview that the FBI had been to visit him. But see, the FBI has his military records and that’s probably why they didn’t take him serious. The 82nd wasn’t in Laos in 59. That’s the first hole in his story, and not the last one.
There's always multiple plausible theories provided in these operations to divide a consensus from ever forming to implicate anyone on the inside of a conspiracy. 2001 is a perfect example of this, as many theories except the one provided are correct. Nicoletti was let in the Daltex building by Frank Sturgis he organised a room that was being renovated at the time so no one was on that floor they were let in and out through a fire escape at the rear!

I’m a big historian. I love history and I have studied a lot about JFK assassination. That’s something that’s peaked my mind. One thing was said they call it the magic bullet and I believe it is a whole heartedly because there’s over 8 to 10 people that claimed they shot Kennedy so that bullet went through eight guns it must be a magic bullet. This guy says he did it. Another guy says he did it. Another guy says he did it, so they was playing like lacrosse one guy shoots the bullet to the other guy he put it in his gun shoots it to another guy and one takes puts in his gun and shoots the magic bullet, but you know they all got something in common. They all already in prison and serving life they gonna die in there. They have nothing to lose, so what is the worst to happen to him? They might as well become a celebrity sorta I am a special forces veteran who has overseas killed people and saw people killed on a daily basis. The "mysterious deaths list of witnesses" is a hoax started by a couple of grifters where everybody on it either had little or no connection to the case or else their causes of death were misreported to sound more "sinister." Watch the entire clip and Oswald only says he's a patsy in relation to being hassled by cops for having lived in Russia. In fact he never attempted to blow any conspiracy framing or sacrificing him to any cop, any member of his family, to the President of the Dallas Bar Association, or to a live TV audience of millions, never mind the mountain of evidence for his guilty anyway, starting with him being caught red-handed trying to murder a police officer.

What was much talked about in circles back in the 1980s to 90s when this was going on was that this was a kind of a Psy-Op using James Files. Files had been trained and trained over quite some time to learn this story, detail by detail which I think comes across noticeably in the interview. His recall, particularly into detail and the way it is arranged perfectly in the timeline would be absolutely remarkable if this really were a convicted, mercenary style gun-for-hire who happened to have assassinated Kennedy 20 years before his claims first emerged and around 30 years before this recording. Files was asked if he had anybody coming in to help him prepare his testimony and he refuted the idea - which didn't help him be believed. It would have been better for him if he had said he had been talking over his reminisces with a member of staff who was helping him with his history. The Psy-Op was basically to promote the legend of the gangland / mafia theory of responsibility for Kennedy's murder, planned from a few years or so after the late 70s Congressional Church Committee investigation concluded there had indeed been a conspiracy and Oswald could not have been a 'lone nut' killer. As the 'lone nut' legend had always been the whole basis of selling the Oswald story from the word go, the latest (and last) official investigation blew open the hatches into potential further scrutiny into the real killers of JFK to come during the 80s. This Psy-Op was intended to limit that, promoting a focus on organised crime instead. This Psy-Op involved kind of programming Files to act as the murderer under a learned script, being promised that if he did this and helped the authorities cover up state persons' involvement in Kennedy's death, he would soon be rewarded with a release from prison to be kept very quiet. Unfortunately for those who arranged this, Files was a very poor actor. Few people who actually watched his "testimony" ever believed him. In the 90s the FBI investigated Files officially and released a statement saying they found he was "not credible". By the early 80s in any case threats, disappearances, accidents, deaths were recorded around many people who knew more about certain elements connected with the Kennedy assassination (see Richard Belzer's book, 'The Hit List'). This idea that the late 70s Congressional investigation would lead to progress within the murk surrounding the whole Kennedy assassination tended to fizzle out - whilst those remaining who did know apparently relevant pieces of information were too afraid to talk.

It does make sense that someone was sent to kill Oswald and maybe was seen with a gun by Tibbetts and shot him. Oswald was told to hide, so he was chilling in movie theater and couldnt figure out what was going on when they grabbed him.

Right but oswald was walking and they have said the cop oswald supposedly shot was actually shot no where near dealy Plaza, it was out of town and was the station wagon I believe, full of government guys who were pulled over for a traffic stop , they shot the cop and drove away. RFK Jr. said that the most accurate book on the JFK assassination is JFK and the unspeakable. This story actually fits almost perfectly with the events that are described in that book. Very interesting.

Anything to get out of the daily,mundane routine of the prison life, even if only a few hrs. I did 5 yrs and volunteered to rake rocks in the desert just to break the routine. And that was in Az ,in summer!

LOL, the grassy knoll theory is a dead end, a red herring. There was no shooter on the grassy knoll at all. JFK received the deadly shot to the head from the direction of the sewer, the storm drain that was located in the side of the street, under the grassy knoll. The clear from that sewer outlet to the street was much wider in the 1960s than it is now, when Stone was shooting his movie about JFK in Daeley Plaza decades later his crew had the street re-asphalted which increased its level and decreased the visibility from the sewer outlet.
I am no scholar of JFK but I did read a passage in a book that explains something akin to what you are saying. Where the grassy knoll and the bridge meet there is a hole in the ground called a cistern, 3' wide and 5' deep where the water from the parking lot drains. All a gunman had to do was to position himself in there and then lift up the grate and take his shot, then quickly escape down the 18 inch pipe that fed into a six foot sewer under the street. This is exactly the angle from the shot on the Zapruder film where JFK was shot from the front. From there the 6 foot sewer pipe led to the Dallas police station and he was gone. Later the son of a Dallas police officer confessed that his father had pulled the trigger and had his diary to prove it, but it was given to the FBI and never seen again. Continuing, the bridge was built as a WPA project during the Great Depression by LBJ and certainly he would have known about the cistern and pipes. The authors' theory is that when JFK was shot, the nation came under the control of the CIA and the Establishment media bosses. Richard Nixon was ambushed at the Watergate by the interests of media boss Katharine Graham, who was protecting her television license in Miami from charges of participating in an election rig. There was a lot of election rigging going on back then and it had the support of the tv networks for controlling vote counts. The passage is found in chapter 17 of the book Votescam: The Stealing of America by the Collier brothers. I am only sharing this because I saw how your post had mentioned something similar.
Something has to go wrong in your head, to think doing this for any reason could be justified. After seeing the picture of GW Bush with his foot on the depository wall, I understood how politics really works. So many rabbit holes. The fact these people all got away is sick.
He says he shot from behind the fence, when there were 2 plain clothes men standing 10 to 15 feet away and near the steps (they stopped the motorcycle cop from running up) but he reckoned afterwards they were his cover or blockers. If they were legit security, they would have turned at sound of gun even with a silencer, and caught him in the 20 seconds he took to pack his gun in its case, take his jacket off, turn it inside out, and put it back on and don his hat.
I still await the day this grifter explains how anybody would ever assume in a million years they would successfully frame this on a lone shooter while firing from multiple directions.

Except that he would have been anywhere between 6-12 years old in 1963, at most. He would have had to skip his 4th grade class that day in 1963 to go shoot the president of the United States. Or maybe he just went over and shot him during recess.
I just googled the fireballs calibre of .222 - it equates to 5.6388 mm . I recall an in depth documentary about the magic bullet and everything that was wrong with the autopsy - all the secret service in that room when there should of JUST been medical professionals. The entry hole in JFK's skull was smaller that the calibre of LHO's Carcano rifle. I believe the Carcano off the top of my head is 6.5mm? When the autopsy was being carried out, they presented the Carcano round ( which I think was magically found lying next to JFK's body fully intact on the morgue slap ) The Carcano round was too big to make the entry hole, but it was a near perfect fit for the M16/AR15's that were carried in the car behind JFK by the secret service - the calibre of which is 5.56mm. When JFK arrived at the hospital, the secret service guys rounded up all the rifles and got them out of the picture. When they were asked later about them carrying these rifles, they denied they'd carried them - yet - after the first shot was fired and struck JFK and never hit him in the head, I'm certain that a secret service agent in that car behind him stood up in the back seat and did an ND ( negligent discharge ). I cannot remember if a muzzle flash was seen or filmed from that car because all eyes were on JFK so nobody was paying attention. People in and around heard a shot that seemed to originate from the vicinity of that car behind JFK's but also, most people were diving on the ground for cover. I think that there is some truth in James E Files, but I think there were multiple shooters, and if you're gonna shoot at a moving target, you need the target travelling away from you in a perfect straight line, or coming straight at you with no deviation. It doesn't matter how good you are as a shooter. Even at roughly 15mph and not coming directly at you - even from 40-45 yards ( estimate ), it's gonna be a tough shot to pull off. I'm inclined to believe that a couple of shooters were a little behind and to the left of the book depository, that is where I think potentially a fatal round came from. LHO - - 100% a Patsy. I believe he was on the ground floor with CIA agent George Bush senior and photographed together. Just my 10 cents worth.
About 18:25 - "the LEFT side of Kennedy's head". President was shot on his RIGHT side of his head. The shot would be on the SHOOTER'S left view through scope.
Yes it was the right side but from his view point it was his left. If you look at someone their left is your right and your right is their left. I can understand why he would say it this way.

Ok, as a criminal of 30+ years I’ve been interrogated & interviewed by police detectives, attorneys, insurance investigators etc; this includes multiple depositions of 8hrs or more & I’ve sat & told the truth in those situations & I’ve sat & told complete fabrications at other times. I have read countless books on this subject and attendend a lecture by Robert J Groden who wrote "High Treason" about the assassination as well as reopening the House Assassination Committee. He mentions many of the same people that Files does. Either this guy knows the key players and was involved or he has a photographic memory and has studied everything about this case. 35 years of psychology here, the hardest thing to tell when doing body and characteristic movements is, "memorizing a script" and "memory" are both pulled from the same cognitive zone. depending on how good someone is at acting out a part, they can literally emulate every single symptom and trait of someone telling the complete truth. This guys normal demeanor is that of a poker player, so he's also the perfect subject to use for an operation which might involve a coverup or snow job. The people who do this aren't stupid! And the people they choose are extremely talented in the areas of deception and lying.
One of my catches here is, this guy recalls the story just a little too good. Just a little too fluid. Now, that could be he's a very detailed individual with a great memory recall, or it could be that he's practiced this information over a long standing period of time and can lay it out in such a way where it sounds truthful and from experience...
My second catch is the tilted head to the left during the entire interview. But it seems like during certain questions, he tilts it much further than other times... This can be a sign of deception, or a subconscious effort to create distance between you and the person you're attempting to deceive. It can also mean you're fatigued or the subject matter and the having to deceive is taxing and so tilted head is a sign. I watched really close to see if the head tilt got worse with tougher questions and it did. So I think there is something there.... Direct confrontation is the emotion one feels when they're purposefully trying to mislead someone. I just feel like there is an act of deception here.

I'm not trained in any body language analysis or things like that but I am a people watcher if you will and have been from a very young age. I was 7 years old when President Kennedy was assassinated and I do remember my mother having to come down to the school to get me to bring me home as they released all the kids early that day. They never told us why but when I got home I remember sitting in front of the TV with my Mum and watching History unfold. The only other moment in History that comes to my mind as being so vivid and affecting my life as much as this would be the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969.

This is chilling! I was only 5 years old, but I remember that day and was terrified when we were sent home early from school and people were crying. I could not sleep for days. I even read "Death of A President" in high school for a book report. I watched a number of interviews with James Files a while back and found him convincing for a while. He mentioned he had been in Vietnam in one interview and was asked if had he met Colonel Fletcher Prouty? He said he had and described him as "a great soldier." Colonel Prouty began as a cavalryman but quickly transferred to the Army Air Corps and was a pilot for years. At the time Files may have been in Indo China, Colonel Prouty was working in the Pentagon doing logistics and other secretive things- he was never a combat soldier as he was in USAF. This one comment suggested to me that Files could be making things up- although he clearly knows about weaponry, bullets and the anatomy of hits and assassinations.

I know that Files mentions being in Laos- doing training when there were very few US personnel there- late 50s. Col Prouty has mentioned being in Vietnam with Ed Lansdale and buying a gift for one of the Diem brothers for him. Now it appears that Lansdale was in Saigon from 1954 to 1957- so that is before James Files was in Laos and Prouty has mentioned flying over Vietnam- north and south without concerns of being shot down. It is possible that Files and Prouty met but Prouty's skills were not those of a soldier which is why I questioned the response Files made. That alone does not mean his narrative is to be disbelieved but it got me wondering and I think that being a bit forensic about things is good- in all walks of life not just in the world of the Kennedy assassination. Clearly Files is massively knowledgeable in this arena on many levels and in areas that most have little or no knowledge and undoubtedly he was connected to key mob figures.

All bystanders said the last 2 shots came close together as BAM BAM BAM. The last 2 shots were both the head shots. In William Manchester's book, "The Day Kennedy Was Shot," President Kennedy's head exploded and spewing large gushes of blood and brains spurted out of his head soaking Jackie Kennedy and the seat and walls of the interior of the Limousine and kept largely gushing like a fountain until his blood pressure dropped to zero. President Kennedy was dead almost instantly. He was gurgling and his mouth was rapidly moving right after he was struck. His eyes were both open very wide and fixed as he bled to death with his head on his wife's lap. Horrid to see as SS agent Clint Hill saw as he climbed on the back of the limousine to shield everyone. President Kennedy's head was half blown open as brain chunks and rapidly flowing blood flooded the back seat and the floor of the limousine. as well the motor bike police windshields, and the suits of the driver Bill Greer and Roy Kellerman as well as spewing all over Clint Hill as he jumped on the speeding up Limousine. I do not attempt to be gory, but this is what truly happened.

Project Hot Foot was a secret deployment of Army Special Forces teams to train Laotian forces from 1955 thru 1962. Files said he was assigned to the 82nd Airborne. He would have been at Bragg along with the Army Special Ops forces used in Project Hot Foot. He never said the 82nd was deployed. That could NOT be kept secret. However, he could have easily been attached to the Special Forces teams to fill a needed skill set. What gives me pause is that Files was born in 1942, making him 18 y.o. in 1959; essentially a “green” PFC. Hard to believe he would have attached at that age.

I was in Dealey Plaza approximately 2 years ago. The distance from the wall at the grassy knoll is ridiculously close, less than 50 yards. I was amazed that the news accounts of the assassination made it sound like an impossible shot, far from it. The shot from the 6th floor or the surrounding areas were not unusual. The fact that the motorcade drove at a low speed through this turn is one of the most glaring examples that this was arranged by the highest level of our own government, JFK wanted to get out of Vietnam, war is profitable. I always thought that too... because bullets follow straight lines... if JFK was hit in the right temple from the right the bullet would have exited out the left rear of the head. But the huge exit wound is in the right rear. That means a bullet from the knoll would have entered JFK's temple and then made a right 90 turn. But If hit from the front, the bullet would have gone in the tight side and exited on the right side.

He says in the interview that the FBI had been to visit him. But see, the FBI has his military records and that’s probably why they didn’t take him serious. The 82nd wasn’t in Laos in 59. That’s the first hole in his story, and not the last one.
There's always multiple plausible theories provided in these operations to divide a consensus from ever forming to implicate anyone on the inside of a conspiracy.

I’m a big historian. I love history and I have studied a lot about JFK assassination. That’s something that’s peaked my mind. Files doesn't want to touch on it, because to touch on Tibbet would be to touch on his conscience (if he indeed has one) and to have to feel the guilt in being reminded that co-conspirator Oswald was made to be the fall guy.

What was much talked about in circles back in the 1980s to 90s when this was going on was that this was a kind of a Psy-Op using James Files.
Files had been trained and trained over quite some time to learn this story, detail by detail which I think comes across noticeably in the interview. His recall, particularly into detail and the way it is arranged perfectly in the timeline would be absolutely remarkable if this really were a convicted, mercenary style gun-for-hire who happened to have assassinated Kennedy 20 years before his claims first emerged and around 30 years before this recording.
Files was asked if he had anybody coming in to help him prepare his testimony and he refuted the idea - which didn't help him be believed. It would have been better for him if he had said he had been talking over his reminisces with a member of staff who was helping him with his history.
The Psy-Op was basically to promote the legend of the gangland / mafia theory of responsibility for Kennedy's murder, planned from a few years or so after the late 70s Congressional Church Committee investigation concluded there had indeed been a conspiracy and Oswald could not have been a 'lone nut' killer. As the 'lone nut' legend had always been the whole basis of selling the Oswald story from the word go, the latest (and last) official investigation blew open the hatches into potential further scrutiny into the real killers of JFK to come during the 80s. This Psy-Op was intended to limit that, promoting a focus on organised crime instead.
This Psy-Op involved kind of programming Files to act as the murderer under a learned script, being promised that if he did this and helped the authorities cover up state persons' involvement in Kennedy's death, he would soon be rewarded with a release from prison to be kept very quiet.
Unfortunately for those who arranged this, Files was a very poor actor. Few people who actually watched his "testimony" ever believed him. In the 90s the FBI investigated Files officially and released a statement saying they found he was "not credible".
By the early 80s in any case threats, disappearances, accidents, deaths were recorded around many people who knew more about certain elements connected with the Kennedy assassination (see Richard Belzer's book, 'The Hit List'). This idea that the late 70s Congressional investigation would lead to progress within the murk surrounding the whole Kennedy assassination tended to fizzle out - whilst those remaining who did know apparently relevant pieces of information were too afraid to talk.

In terms of the absolutely immaculate presentation, detail by detail, all consecutively on the one timeline, it really is remarkable. I'm not saying it's remarkable to remember after a few decades, but that the presentation of the "memory" is so perfect it is stunning.

LOL, the grassy knoll theory is a dead end, a red herring. There was no shooter on the grassy knoll at all. JFK received the deadly shot to the head from the direction of the sewer, the storm drain that was located in the side of the street, under the grassy knoll. The clear from that sewer outlet to the street was much wider in the 1960s than it is now, when Stone was shooting his movie about JFK in Daeley Plaza decades later his crew had the street re-asphalted which increased its level and decreased the visibility from the sewer outlet.

I am no scholar of JFK but I did read a passage in a book that explains something akin to what you are saying.
Where the grassy knoll and the bridge meet there is a hole in the ground called a cistern, 3' wide and 5' deep where the water from the parking lot drains. All a gunman had to do was to position himself in there and then lift up the grate and take his shot, then quickly escape down the 18 inch pipe that fed into a six foot sewer under the street. This is exactly the angle from the shot on the Zapruder film where JFK was shot from the front. From there the 6 foot sewer pipe led to the Dallas police station and he was gone.
Later the son of a Dallas police officer confessed that his father had pulled the trigger and had his diary to prove it, but it was given to the FBI and never seen again.
Continuing, the bridge was built as a WPA project during the Great Depression by LBJ and certainly he would have known about the cistern and pipes.
The authors' theory is that when JFK was shot, the nation came under the control of the CIA and the Establishment media bosses. Richard Nixon was ambushed at the Watergate by the interests of media boss Katharine Graham, who was protecting her television license in Miami from charges of participating in an election rig.

He says he shot from behind the fence, when there were 2 plain clothes men standing 10 to 15 feet away and near the steps (they stopped the motorcycle cop from running up) but he reckoned afterwards they were his cover or blockers.
If they were legit security, they would have turned at sound of gun even with a silencer, and caught him in the 20 seconds he took to pack his gun in its case, take his jacket off, turn it inside out, and put it back on and don his hat.
I still await the day this grifter explains how anybody would ever assume in a million years they would successfully frame this on a lone shooter while firing from multiple directions.

I just googled the fireballs calibre of .222 - it equates to 5.6388 mm . I recall an in depth documentary about the magic bullet and everything that was wrong with the autopsy - all the secret service in that room when there should of JUST been medical professionals. The entry hole in JFK's skull was smaller that the calibre of LHO's Carcano rifle. I believe the Carcano off the top of my head is 6.5mm? When the autopsy was being carried out, they presented the Carcano round ( which I think was magically found lying next to JFK's body fully intact on the morgue slap ) The Carcano round was too big to make the entry hole, but it was a near perfect fit for the M16/AR15's that were carried in the car behind JFK by the secret service - the calibre of which is 5.56mm. When JFK arrived at the hospital, the secret service guys rounded up all the rifles and got them out of the picture. When they were asked later about them carrying these rifles, they denied they'd carried them - yet - after the first shot was fired and struck JFK and never hit him in the head, I'm certain that a secret service agent in that car behind him stood up in the back seat and did an ND ( negligent discharge ). I cannot remember if a muzzle flash was seen or filmed from that car because all eyes were on JFK so nobody was paying attention. People in and around heard a shot that seemed to originate from the vicinity of that car behind JFK's but also, most people were diving on the ground for cover. I think that there is some truth in James E Files, but I think there were multiple shooters, and if you're gonna shoot at a moving target, you need the target travelling away from you in a perfect straight line, or coming straight at you with no deviation. It doesn't matter how good you are as a shooter. Even at roughly 15mph and not coming directly at you - even from 40-45 yards ( estimate ), it's gonna be a tough shot to pull off. I'm inclined to believe that a couple of shooters were a little behind and to the left of the book depository, that is where I think potentially a fatal round came from. LHO - - 100% a Patsy. I believe he was on the ground floor with CIA agent George Bush senior and photographed together. Just my 10 cents worth.
About 18:25 - "the LEFT side of Kennedy's head". President was shot on his RIGHT side of his head. The shot would be on the SHOOTER'S left view through scope.

I think he said he was aiming to the left of the presidents head because the car was in forward motion so he was aiming just a hair to the left of the path of the direction for the bullet to impact his head. He knew just like any shooter that if he was to aim at the right of the presidents head he would miss because of the forward motion of the car.

I'm not saying cotton mouth is always an indication of lying, but only that when a person is giving a nervous interview, cotton mouth is a very common physiological and involuntary change that is noticable, much less common when a person is giving spontaneous statements based on memory recall.

And many, many factors led me to have dry mouth during those lengthy interrogations & depositions. One cannot say simply bcuz someone has dry mouth that he’s lying. That’s simply absurd. No disrespect intended. But making a blanket statement like the one you did is over simplifying things to a great degree.

I was confused when Files was using his face to show where his shot hit JFK. He pointed to the right side of his face. And he said something about left side, right side. What confused me was I imagined Files was to the left of the car so wouldn't he point to the left side of his face? Could someone help me understand this? (Approximately 1:09:00 on the film)
