DS3 has criticism for the washed out color and the grayness but man something about it for me personally just has a strong atmosphere. DS1 has a charm all it's own and I understand why people prefer that but 3 just something about it is a sum greater than its parts. DS1 the stagnation feels like it just started with the world not understanding how dire it is and 3 is when the world itself feels apathetic even with someone with strong ambition like Sulyvahn.

I know this is supposed to be a dark souls amv but man watching this video and hearing this song reminds me of my first journey as a tarnished. Figuring out the mechanics of the game, feeling like a complete badass after beating difficult bosses, becoming stronger, and just being so revered yet looked down upon at the same time.
