Viper is a phenomenal blaster... 1.6 no problem, you won't have to upgrade...but 1.8 might be a bit for the plastic plunger. But again, you don't have to put ALL the metal parts in, Plunger, trigger and maybe eventually the Dart Gate(expensive, but worth it)

a light scuff on the shell, 2 (light)coats of Rustoleum 2X Aluminum color for Basecoat, 3 coat of Duplicolor "Toyota Barcelona Red Metallic" and 3 coat of Satin Finish Clear on top.

@@makeitgo If you're an old school modder...Avoid the Maulr, you won't really enjoy it. Yes it's powerful...but that's about it, this blaster is pretty much Maxed out when you buy it, with hopeless flimsy internals. TBH keep your money for something cooler, like the new X-Shot that should arrives eventually.

OE barrel is glued in, you need to twist to break the glue, then pull it... As for the Metal Dart gate, I happen to have one in my Fire Rat XD and ZWQ since released a Threaded one (for 16x1mm thread...like Worker)

@@thatoldnerfguy thanks for responding. I might just keep the OE barrel then. i'm afraid to break it. Can't find a replacement dart get, even a plastic one. Nobody has the metal ones in stock. Hopefully they make some more. Wanna sell yours? haha.

The "dart gate/muzzle" is really held tight inside the barrel... but the Dartgate is screw from both sides of the blaster, make sure to remove both screw. Plus, try to free the barrel WITH the Dart gate in it by extracting both parts at once. Hope this help!

@@thatoldnerfguy The Tietohu Lizzie Gecko and the YiFan versions appears to fit the nightingale mags due to the narrower mag well but proprietary mags from the Nerfty will not work with the YiFan and Tietohu versions due to the narrower mag well- only nightingale can fit from what I see.

Links for dart and mag...Well any good Nerf mod shop should have Talon Mag and Half Darts, Barrel is a Worker Seagull one and the rest is handmade from spares and the actual shell of the Pinpoint...Like the Mag Adapter

Can't really say if you're using sarcasm or not... In the case you were serious, I would strongly advise you to stick to the Nerf Elite Jr ONLY, they will be more fit to your need with sub 60FPS performance. I would also advise you to NEVER try a Pro blaster EVER, they will scare you BIG TIME. This Excel Micro is just a real honest 8+ blaster that shoot around 85fps, no danger for anyone since the energy output is below 1 joule...Even point blank it shall not hurt. Scientifically speaking, it's a safe toy

I know Shanye kit are quite nice, If plinking is your thing, but I'm not sure for "In game". I personally tend to stay away from 3D printing(personal preference). If you like it, it's good!! I mean there are still people running in events with Spamf and modded Retaliator. If the Blaster fits you and you Like it, go for it.
