Isaw a similar build using the dark paint to highlight the brick joints and I think it spoils the natural look but if its a protective measure then o.k.

Привет , друзья ! Респект , автору за работу . Но (!) у меня есть очень большое замечание по поводу кладки печи . Я считаю , что по технике безопасности это нарушение всех норм , потому что автор допустил ошибку , когда между стенкой и печкой прикрепил , лишь тонкий ржавый лист железа - Нельзя так делать ! Это опасно для жизни впервую очередь и пожар гарантирован , потому что лист железа , просто , не выдержит накала огня и домик сгорит .
